apart from open allowing for more spin and dense more control.. what strokes are affected by these patterns and how?
for ex, I read that a poster saying that his backhand slice was affected by dense pattern.. and I do notice the same with my dense pattern racket (AG 200)

Since I don't own any Mfil or Aero's in 16x19, I can't say exactly, but 18x20 allows longer lasting strings, and softer tensions before any trampoline effect takes place. Closer spacing keeps the strings from moving as much, so softer tensions can be used. Softer tensions means softer on the arms and more power with less stroking.
