I just bought two new pairs, stocking up on Wilson Trance Vision IIs for clay in the future. Just realized there are now over 25 pairs of shoes in my closets, rooms, car trunk, all over the place, adidas barricades, court ballistecs, New Balance 1187, Fila, Wilson, Oscillates (blue ones), two bairs of Babolats, one Asics, old CB 2.3 and 1.3 I just can't throw away. Is anyone else afflicted with tennisshoe addiction? Anyone got over 30 pairs? Or 40, or 50? : )

I don't have a shoe addiction, but instead a string and racquet one. :(

I'm one of the worst. And my wife knows it which makes it worse. :(

I can easily wear one pair of shoes each week for almost 2 years without repeating them.

    Yes, that many.

I might have 30+ new in boxes plus some vouchers but keep buying shoes as soon as I see heavy discounts. Usually wear one shoes at a time because of warranty.

You guys must have a lot of storage!

I have about six pairs of tennis shoes, but only one pair that is new in a box. Two pair I need to throw out. I keep an old pair in the trunk of my car just in case.

If some of you would stop buying shoes, you could probably retire years ahead of schedule and play more tennis. Don't tell TW that I wrote this. I might get banned.

I've got yonex 308 blue clay, vapor 9 silver/blue, and white/black barricade 7 that I rotate out. Wearing vapors on hard court right now because I've still got about 5 months left on the warranty on the b7's. in my closet however I have easily 20 pairs of various nike and adidas shoes that are either too small or too worn down. Just donated about 10 pairs to my local tennis center a few weeks ago too so I used to have more.

I have well over 50 pair. No need to count lol. I've posted pictures before.

I did all my wash the other day and counted all of my tennis polos, it was nearly 200.

    Plenty of normal clothes too.

All my size too! I want! haha
I have about 20+ pairs of tennis shoes. Overall...over 100 probably. I can't pass up good sales. Especially on tennis shoes. Recently I found volt/white ballistecs from the 12 us open for 60$. Did I need them? No. But I got them anyway haha

Good! Really nice to have many shoes! I also have something in that range. Have tried virtually all top models from all brands, but have now found my holy grail in the Adidas Adizero Feather II.

Bad thing is, in my size, US12, here in Sweden there are almost no interest at all in the used section for lightly used tennis-shoes :-?

I used to have the same problem before with Air Jordans, so I stopped buying them after 1998, so all I own are originals and a few retros. Same thing for tennis shoes.

But my main problem are business shoes, I have 8 JM Weston, 1 John Lobb, 1 EG, 2 Church's, 2 Gucci's and 1 Paul Smith
I think it's a disease, each time I travel (London or Paris mostly) I cant resist bying shoes...

I like my shoes to match my outfits and have abuut 8 pairs and 16 sets of clothes, all Adidas. I'll buy the blue with orange trim, the orange with blue trim, then a matching set of barricases that match those two outfits.

Mrs. Overheadsmash just washes in cold, then hangs them OVER a drying rack (never on a hanger as it can stretch out the neck) and let's them dry naturally. I have the Roland Garros sets from three years ago and they still look great!

I play on har tru and indoor soft courts, so my shoes never wear out.

ALso, "shoe goo" also preserves those classic shoes you just can't throw away and would like to use as walkers, trainers or work around the house.

It is a disease. I think its official Latin term is Beingcus Stylishimus.

They were on sale last week. I saw them on jeremyn st london.
Those I wanted cost 875 pounds and were not on sale.
So I bought Church's instead, they had 1 model my size on sale. 250 pds. A very good deal

If not EG I go with Crockett & Jones benchgrade, very good shoe for about half that of EG.

Yeah I also visited their shop, they're all on jermyn st actually
I thought of the handgrade models at C&J but it's really 2 steps under EG and Weston in terms of quality
Church's might be only 1 step under imo

Shoes are an ongoing infatuation for me as well. I kicked the bball/classic shoe itch for a year or so vacating about 80% of what I accumulated. Suddenly I find myself all caught up with derbies, brogues, and captoes.

Tennis shoes I've surprisingly kept under control so far. Usually 1-2 pairs is just what I need.

A friend of mine was a huge Sampras fan and about 12 years ago he bought 15 pairs of Oscillates and ten Wilson racquets like Pete used. He even patterned his game after Pete and was doing Pete's ticks, like wiping sweat from his brow with one finger and the same motion. He was a decent 4.0 player, probably would have been better if he just was himself on court instead of being Pete. )

Only 15 pair? He must have been some kind of halfass bandwagon fan.
