I have been told that one way to reduce the grip size is to replace the original grip with an overwrap... I have also been told that there are pros (federer) who do this.
Has anybody tried and is it true that some pros do this

    Thanks, ken

I've read on here that federer uses wilson leather and a wilson pro overgrip on top. I've never tried it myself but I would think the handle would hurt my hand without any cushioning from a grip.

Kuerten used 2 or overgrips on the bare handle.

I have done it before, it can be hard on your hand, but you get used to it.

To start, wrapping two overgrips should work fine.

thicker overgrip as first layer, then thinner overgrip as second layer might be less harsh on your hand. You might consider putting lead tape under first layer in order to adjust the balance.

using overgrips instead of base grips can lead to arm problems
