    Bump...

Any word on the new Pacific BX2 frames? They've been on TW-Europe for ~ 3-4 months now.

    McLovin,

We have not heard anything at this time. However, our hard goods buyer is checking again with Pacific and I will let you know if there is any update.

Hate to simply 'bump' this again, but someone mentioned in a different thread that you will not be carrying Pacific's BX2 line.

Is that true? And if it isn't, do you have any info on when they will be arriving?

    McLovin,

We are still planning on carrying these racquets. However, we still do not have an ETA.

That's great news, as I was twice told on the phone that you were not going to carry them anymore.

Great news! The Pacific racquets are rapidly becoming my favorite sticks. Very nice racquets but pretty much unknown to most, as it seems.

great news... I plan on getting another x feel pro 95 but want to see if I prefer the new version or old... probably mostly cosmetic... which I appreciate (the new one has more black which I like). The thing with the Pro line is they have Fischer's zero tolerance and helps me match them. I currently have an X feel Pro and an M Comp 95.

I like euro-style frames that are flexier than anything Head sells now. I refuse to buy an old prostock PT57 and the Xfeel 95 has a lot in common with it... plus I like the flex profile even better. Seems spinnier and has a 16x19 pattern.

I check this thread every other day waiting for news on the new Pacific rackets. In the market for new sticks as I've only got one usable racket left. They are one of the few racket manufacturers I would consider buying from.

    Snaab,

Unfortunately, I don't have any good news to bring. There is no update and we have no ETA on when they are coming in.

I am an authorized Pacific dealer and will tell you that I have the bx2s in hand except for the x fast. My rep said the bx2 should hit tennis w in the next few weeks....

Cobra - will the BX2s (specifically the xForce Pro 18x12) be available in G5 (4 5/8) grips in the US? TW-Europe only goes up to G4. I should have bought this frame from them 4+ months ago and swapped pallets, although now I don't have any G5 pallets remaining.

Cobra - Is there any major diference between BX1 and BX2? The more basalt fibers are really notable? Can you give feedback, personal or from your customers that have tested them? Thanks a lot.

PS. I'm mostly interested in the X force.

I don't see the 18x20 XForce Pro listed in my USA catalog for order. I believe the 18x20 is a Europe only, but it is easy to import, I just have to ask. The XForce Pro 16x20 is available in G5 here in the USA.

Good question. I personally play with either the X Feel Tour or X Fast when I play sets or matches...just depends on how I feel that day.

I think the BX2 X Feel Tour plays a bit more solid than the "X1" Feel tour. It swings through the air just a bit better and is a tad more maneuverable.

I have one customer who loves, loves, loves the X Force Pro 16x20 and said the BX2 X Force Pro plays a little less stiff than the X1---to his delight.

Cobra - Tennis Warehouse did carry the original BX xForce Pro 18x20, odd that they wouldn't bring the BX2 over.

We contacted Pacific again and are getting closer to bringing in the racquets. Should have a better ETA soon but are hoping within a couple weeks.

Please tell me that G5 will be an option on the BX2s. Frustrating some of the manufacturers are paring down their grip size options to 1-4.

Good to hear! They make some very good sticks with characteristics that most other brands are not providing to us.

i highly doubt that if / when pacific BX2 racquets arrive at TW they will be selling like crazy but for us users who like the racquets, it would be a nice welcome finally.

i don't anticipate changing from the original BX line but it is nice to have options.

Just bought 2x BX2 force pro 16x20 from the bay but I still have an eye on the 18x20 version and i'm hoping to buy it in TW coz it doesn't carry the zero tol in its specs, so i'm gonna shell out an extra 10 box for the paired racquet service.

On a related note to my bumping this up, I just picked up a Fischer Black Granite Pro One. Tis a shame they didn't make it over to the States. Plush hit and awesome paint scheme.

    Snaab,

Well, I have some good news for you! We just ordered 4 new racquets: BX2 X Feel Pro 95, BX2 X Feel Tour 95, BX2 X Force 98 and BX2 X Force Pro. They should be arriving early August and I will update this thread once I get the exact arrival time.

    Bdole,

Unfortunately, that was not one of the options for us to bring in. We will check with Pacific to see if there is a chance for us to bring it in the future.

Will there be any playtests? (just realized Im wearing a TW t shirt and feel like a complete geek and TW fanboy)... BTW I'm a professional critic (critics/writers seem to like tennis as a sport and these forums are kind of my sloppy writing warm up each day before I get to work).

    skydog,

The racquets were supposed to arrive end of July. We have been having difficulty contacting our rep who is currently out of the country. He is supposed to be in the US today and we are hoping to find out more information on when the racquets will ship to us.

Thanks, Brittany. Must be as frustrating for you folks as it is for those waiting for them to hit the shelves. Waiting to see the TW specs on these and get some reviews to see if it is worth a demo or purchase.

My gut feel is that Pacific is never going to succeed in the US. Marketing and operational fail. I hope I am wrong.

We have already placed an order with Pacific (mid July) and are still waiting for the shipment to arrive. We did not order those strings but I will pass along the information to our hard goods buyer.

Our rep has updated us that there will be a racquet shipment arriving at the Pacific warehouse in the US tomorrow or the day after. Once he receives the shipment, he will let us know what is there and update the expected arrival date.
