    hello all,
just wanted to start a thread about traveling to IW 2014. From what I've heard, there will be many improvements made to the facility, and I'm anxious to see what it's going to be like. The facilities are already very real nice (they could really use to make it more fan friendly though...then it will closer to a slam...) I've only been once, and would welcome input from seasoned travelers. Please chime in w/ lodging tips, etc. I usually get a small bunch and rent a house in Palm Springs. Some of those homes are real nice, and have lots of "rock star" appeal.
    bye for now,
    christian

First post, hello all. Sorry for the very brief threadjack, Vasco. Play 4 to 5 times per week in central CT. 3.5 to 4.0. Pretty average.

In any event, I'm thinking about going to Indian Wells next month. Would appreciate any insights from those who have been there.

I was just there last October for USTA Nationals. Quite a few of my teammates did rented a big house 5 minutes away from the facility. The house was very nice.
