Recently starting hitting the Roddick. I like almost everything about it, but it doesn't quite have that mass/plow I usually like in a racquet. A little weight at 12oclock counter balanced at the handle? Not sure.

I am interested in this also. I've been hitting with my PDR for just over a week and love it.

If it can be better I'd love to hear ....

I had the same issues and so I had it setup perfect, it just bugged my shoulder, but that is my issue..do this:

6 inches of 1/4 lead at 3 and 9 on each side. It will total out to 6 grams and knock the SW up to a much more acceptable level of plow. The balance will be a little more head heavy, but I used an overgrip as well. Bumped my SW up to around 340 and total weight was still right around 12.1.

Try it..I can about guarantee you will like it. I tried lead at 12 first, but the PDR is simply screaming for lead at 3 and 9.

Sounds good. Racquets I normally use have SWs in the 330s, around 7 pts HL, and 12 oz...so if I can spec it up to that, gain some plow, and not lose that power...that would be ideal.

I've tried this setup on my PDR GT and it just feel right but I think another 2gr ( 8 gr...4gr + 4gr at 9 & 3 ) will be just perfect.

So you added 4 (6 in.) strips of 1/4" strips @ 3 & 9? Doesnt that bump the overall weight higher than 12.1?

Sorry not real experienced with lead, only used a few times.

    thanks

i've play tonight . 8gr @ 9&3 are perfect for baseline play but when you approach the net there is a need for a little more maneuverability . So after 10 min I took off 2gr and and I've played with 6gr. the perfect setup.

the PDR GT with overgrip, dampener, strings and 6gr weights 12.3 or 348 grams.

I play with a pro who has his PDR set up pretty much exactly like this. He offers a frame customization service and clearly knows what he is doing.

how it was? i've play today with my Yonex Xi 98 and the last 15 min with the PDR GT. Compared to the Yonex The PDR GT is a serve monster.

Now i have it strung with Dunlop Black Widow at 25/24 kg ( this is 55/53 lbs ) and I think next time i will go lower .

It really helped me with volleys and when I was on defense. The stability provided by the tape was awesome. It was a tiny bit less mobile at the net but nothing I didn't get used to. Serves felt the same except with the exception of my second slice serve having a bit more bite to it. Going to hit heavy with it at practice tomorrow. A friend just customized his apd 2013 with 4g at 12 we will see
