Just wondering if anyone has ever gotten a 100% first service in? I remember Davydenko did against Federer in WTF I think 09?

And what is the lowest performance %wise?

    1) Pretty sure it was in Doha 2010.

    2) Nadal's 3rd set in IW 2011 final, perhaps? Wasn't it app. 17%?

1988 French Open final.. Wilander vs Leconte.

Wilander made 70 of 72 (or 97%) first serves in the entire match. It was his strategy to stop Leconte rushing the net on his second serves.

It worked, he won 70% of his 1st serve points on the way to a comfortable straight sets win.

Somehow you would expect that pro's training for years and years would be able to just hit a perfect serve with every ball toss, yet this isn't the case.

Because you're competing. There isn't a "perfect serve", you can always go for a bigger one.

If you hit 100% first serves in, that's just a sign that you need to go for more on it!

I think Anderson has a very high first serve % sometimes. In his Queens match vs Dimitrov he was at 80% for an awful long time.
