Ana had a good game against Petrova. Both are tough and hard hitters.

From the sound of Petrova's hit, i would guess her string must be as stiff as a rock. and bet it must be polyester ones. Sounds ugly and wonder how can they feel the ball, or they just hit as hard as they can, never mind feel at all ?

They don't feel the way we do.....

What do you mean by "feel"? I don't see much "cat & mouse" touch tennis these days, just a lot of lets see who can hit it hard enough to draw a short ball or error. The feedback from the modern poly type string bed is based on length and spin control. A brick will do just fine if that is the goal.;)

Last I know was that she was using Alu Power/Gut hybrid. Don't know the tension, with her last years Pure Storm MP it was nearly 30 kilos (but with full poly), now it might be a bit lower.

Given that she has the Babolat lines stencil I would imagine it is a Babolat string.

It was a bit lower but the rqts came in and she said that the balls were flying and the tension was too loose. I did 2, 1 @ 29/30kgs and another @ 29.5/30.5kgs. She then requested 30/31kgs while playing her match. The string was Babolat R200c.

    Regards

I heard she's wearing EleVen now. Seems strange that one player would wear another player's line.

Venus did mention that in her 1st round interview and also in her EleVen blog that Petrova would be wearing the line.

That's an Aero Storm and I'm pretty sure that Dinara Safina is using one also.
