I am using the Babolat Pure Storm Ltd racket which is a 18 x 20 string pattern. Due to the dense string pattern, I am planning to use PHT in Mains and NXT Tour in the crosses both in 18g. Cost aside, do you think it is a good combo? Currently, I have a full NXT Tour job. Please suggest me.

    Thanks.

Using a PS Ltd. I recommend full natural gut as the frame does lack power and helps considering the frame is meant to be control oriented. I use Babolat Tonic + 16 gauge.

If cost is an issue, I would go ahead and keep the full NXT. using the poly hybrid isn't really necessary as the ridges provide minimal increase in spin potential. What you should be concerned with is does it feel good to you?

Currently with the full nxt tour 18, it feels really good. My whole point about asking if I can hybrid with PHT is to see if I get more power because as you said, it lacks power. Does a full natural gut job(babolat tonic) offer more power than the nxt tour?

Actually unless you lower the tension, adding PHT would decrease power.

I found a full Natural Gut job to be a little more powerful than full NXT.

Have you considered Gosen 18 or Prince SGD 18 ?

I am trying to stay with either babolat or wilson gut as I dont want to try too many string brands.
