pictures/illustrations for serving grips

    what kind of serving grip is this? looks like eastern forehand grip.. what kind of serve is it used for?

    these are the 2 serving grips that I use...maybe 3:

    for first serves i either use continental grip for flat serves, or eastern backhand grip for a little bit of slice

    for 2nd serves I do a kick serve with an extreme-eastern backhand grip (aka semi-western backhand grip).

    I use a continental grip for all of my serves....That photo that you linked isn't working, but I haven't heard of a higher level player ever using an eastern forehand grip for any kind of serve.

    Ditto, continental for both, flat or kick though my flat also has some spin on in.
