Quarter step quicker? Perhaps, but c'mon that's not what is holding him back. He is deceptively quick anyway...

wonder how he moves around with so much upper body weight. i thought it would be impossible for players to gain that much weight with them playing such a tight schedule.

He is not fat - just fat for a pro tennis player..He is probably up around 15-20% body fat whereas most pros are in the 5-10% range..

First of all, Brad Gilbert, on his best day, couldn't beat half of David Nalbandian, with Nalby's other half helping him.

Secondly, Daren Cahill! I'm not even gonna go there, I'm gonna be a good boy.

And has Chris Fowler ever done anything besides spew into a microphone? He's a dime a dozen sportscaster, any 5th grade dropout could do his job. So he calls tennis, so what, IMO, he'll always be just another football worshiping stooge.

Did anyone else notice that Nalby was serving with a Liquidmetal Radical?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm pretty sure that Yonex gave that racquet that paintjob just to screw me over... :-(

Hahahaha.. seriously, though, I was watching the old 2003 australian open 4th round match between Nalbandian and Federer... I know Nalbandian looks skinnier from a zoomed out angle, but every time the screen zooms in on him, you can tell that this guy is just big. Maybe he's put on some extra weight in the form of a belly in the past few years, but he's always been kind of bulky..

David would be able to beat those clowns (Gilbert & Cahill) playing with his left hand and 40 pounds overweight.

This is really old, anyway, yesterday his doctors said that he will loose the rest of the year, it seems that he might have a few years left in him.
