I just got a "bag of of strings".

Some of it was pink and red gut.

Looks like 16g and not premium gut. One said "Made in France".

Any ideas what it it is ?

    (sorry, no pics)

Just strung my POG mid with the red. 31 kg.

There used to be a gut named Africord(?) or something like that. It was red in color. The pink may have been red and just faded.

Of note, premium gut can be 16 gauge.

If you see "humidity" on it, it was definitely VS Africord. It was VS's gut treated to resist humidity. I used it for quite a while. I agree with Rabbit that the pink was probably red gut that has faded. Don't recall ever seeing a gut made in pink before.

Nope, they did do a pink gut, along with a teal, blue and various other colours. The red was strictly africord, the tohers I cannot recall the anme of it, I did have some sets myself until a couple of years ago. Lan Evo, I take it you own one as well? VII IX or X?

Just played with it. Nice :)

I can see "Made in France" and "Delta (the symbol) F C" written on it.

    Any ideas now ?

It could also be a Technifibre multi. If the individual packets were not sealed it is almost certainly not a natural gut, even from the era of Africord.
