    just learned there a 2 clay courts near the water north of the pier. google maps confirmed. awesome. anyone ever played on 'em?

    I have played at the shorecliff club. Lets just say that these days its not meticulously maintained, but still quite fun to try. I think you have to know a member. Contact Shaolin about playing there.

    They used to be very nice red clay courts. Played on them quite a bit back in the day - but now it seems they are a mix of red/grey/whatever they can get their hands on etc and as GC said - not that well maintained - but still fun I'm sure. I'll try to find the number to get in touch. By the way - is you are heading near Paso Robles - new tennis club opened there and they have some very nice clay courts I hear.
