pivotal point of why fed is great

    in all of his junior videos which date back to him as a 7 year old show him with incredible eye focus on the ball.

    if american juniors were to start emulating this how would their success be in the world?

    You are right, it is freaky to watch his eyes, head and shoulders in slow motion. They are so still and his eyes stay fixed on the contact point for what seems like forever. Of course his eye focus is just one of many reasons he is so great.

    Most junior coaches have various drills they do to try and lock the eyes on the contact point. For example, putting baby powder on the ball and having the kids watch the powder smoke rise after they hit the ball.
