I have pain in my right foot when I run or play tennis; may be plantar fascitis. I am thinking on buying Babolat SFX or some New balance tennis shoe. If I choose New Balance which model is the most comforable and cushioned and good for deling with plantar fascitis?

    Boricua,

We have had playtesters deal with plantar fasciitis in the past and their first recommendation is to get a Superfeet Green insole (that is available at TW!). It is not necessarily cushion you need as much as it is support of the arch so there isn't a specific model to help with plantar fasciitis.

I have flat feet. Shall I use the Green or Blue Insole if I have plantar fascitis? Will this insole take away comfort from the Babolat SFX shoe?

    Boricua,

If you have flat feet, then the Superfeet Blue could work better for you. As far as comfort is concerned that is really subjective to the player. You are replacing the very cushioned insole of the SFX with the more supportive and shock absorption insole needed for plantar fasciitis.

Try the New Balance MC 804 W - great price & a very comfortable shoe. I have found these shoes to be very special for this foot condition. You probably, also, need more supportive orthotic insoles such as SPENCO (firm, hardback moldable) or a Superfeet version. I, also recommend the proper stretching/strengthening exercises.

For PF, make absolutely certain your shoe flexes in the forefoot, not in the middle... Then add your insert/orthotic, plus a light pad to go on top of it...
