The list is growing. Previously it was only Nadal.

Now it's Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Simon and Berdych.

Indeed, by losing his last two matches against Federer, Djokovic' aura of invincibility is growing and growing!

    Good post.

Only Nadal has one. Federer has won 3 of the last 4 vs. Murray, the last 2 vs. Simon and Djokovic.

It is inevitable as Fed grows older but still continues to play. Even I am going to have an aura of invincibility against him pretty soon.

fed is 2-2 vs simon both of those losses came in 08 when fed had mono.
against berdych fed is still up 11-5. and fed also leads the h2h against novak including a win at wimbledon and the win at the FO that cost novak the GS in 2011 (no way nadal had beaten novak after taking that many beatings on clay).

he did lose occasionally to those but only because fed is slowing down the last 2-3 years.

HAHAHHAHAHAHA. NOBODY has an aura of invincibility against Federer. Nadal, Djokovic, Murray and Berdych all lost to Federer this year.

I'm really thinking if anyone seriously think that Simon has an aura of invincibility against Federer.

Only Nadal and Murray has the positive h2h over Roger, not Nole, simon or Berdych. Using your logic, if Nadal/Murray has aura of invincibility over Roger, Then Roddick has the aura of invincibility over Nole, same for Davy over Nadal.

If they don't ban him later I'll have to put him on my ignore list since that's the only option.

Nadal on all outdoor courts, Murray in all non clay Masters, and Nalbandian anytime he is in form. That is it.

Nalbandian's best tennis > Federer's best. Too bad he only brings it on rare occasions. Remember though Federer was Nalbandian's slave for awhile, even in 2003 when he was already coming into his prime. Remember their 2 matches in late 2007 when Nalbandian's form was cooking again, and the 2005 WTF, even prime Federer does not want to see a fit and in form Nalbandian on the other side of the net, fortunately like the rest of the ATP he doesnt have to worry about that much.

Ok let's take your initial premise to be true (which it's clearly not), the very fact that Nalby shows up once in a blue moon would mean that he cannot have an "aura of invincibilty", the only way you can get such an aura is through showing at least some measure of consistency.

By the Nalbandian logic, I could beat Federer when I'm "in form". Nalbandian is only a threat to linesmen.

A good example of an aura of invincibility is Borg has over Gerulaitis and Fed has over Roddick. Federer has no one over him. The OP doesn't know what he's talking about.

Even nowadays with old Roger, Nadal is the only player who I can truly say Federer is a true underdog against. I don't consider Djokovic and Murray (in majors) to be favorites over him most of the time, given equal form.

Ironically his second worst matchup on tour these days is probably Berdych, the guy just reads Fed's serve so well and is able to take his time away better than any other player.

I only consider Nadal to be really "invincible" over Federer and the clear favorite in the outdoor courts..

Until Murray can actually beat Roger at a slam, I don't consider him a favorite..

I suppose you can add Djoker as the favorite over Fed in places like Australia. Djoker on his game there IMO is a better player in Australia then Fed was on his game even in his prime years IMO

I could actually see Djoker becoming the AO GOAT in the next few years.. Barring his doesn't have a complete meltdown. Djoker already might be the best player Ive ever seen play Australia (if you look at his 2011 form anyways).

If you watch football, you would know that Zidane was the best player in Germany 2006 in 34 years! And Zidane is of course one of the best players ever!

cut the guy a break, he cant win everything. Whenever he loses sad to see hiding trolls come out to create useless threads. He is still played awesome in todays match, just some sloppy breaks were handed over and unable to find his serve.

Nadal can't be invincible if he can't beat 31 years old Fed at IW(slow outdoor). And the way Fed play at Cinci., Nadal would never beat him there.

You don't have to get mad if someone disagree with you.

And I do believe Fed at 31 loses some of his athleticism, that's just about for any tennis player at that age.
