Players with winning record over Big 3

Djokovic should be careful (some people are saying that he tanked today) because this might eventually be a major argument against him as factors in GOAT debates change every day or so it seems...

I couldn’t find it for Federer maybe someone can post it but he is older so it’s normal that he might have more at this point.

But Djokovic starting to have more and more losing records compared to Nadal despite being younger is not a good look.

Let’s see if this thread will again be deleted and considered trolling...

I mean... it is trolling though right?

No it is not. Everyone is talking about how great Djokovic is so why not also give another side? These are stats and I think if he did tank like some people are saying, it's not a good thing. Having losing records to players is certainly not something positive and could be an argument against him. He should take every match seriously. If someone posts a bad stat about Fedal I would not complain about bait/trolling and I will reply with an argument and opinion.

I have no issue with posting negative stats about any of the Big 3 or making arguments for or against them. But at the end of the day, no one is seriously going to be tipped over into thinking Nadal is GOAT over Novak because he lost a match to Sonego. There are far more important reasons to view Nadal or Djokovic better than the other than that reason.

1-0 record against Peak Fed in 2004. Hrbaty GOAT

Why 10+ and not 9+? It seems suspicious. :sneaky: This thread is about losing records overall... But thanks for posting all your stats.

Ideally I would want to see the losing records in slams but it would take too long I think.

I'd say that it has to be at least 5 matches to be relevant.

In which case, Novak Djokovic has 1 losing record (vs. Roddick), and Nadal has 2 (vs. Davydenko and Novak Djokovic).

Both of them will therefore finish with 1 losing record guaranteed (Roddick and Davydenko respectively).

It comes down to who of them wins the H2H vs. each other, to determine who has the fewest weak H2H records.

Agreed upon by all objective tennis observers.

Not necessarily true...

Djokovic is for example 3-2 vs Zverev, 7-4 vs Thiem, 4-2 vs Tsitsipas, 4-2 vs Medvedev, etc.

Nadal is 2-2 vs Coric, 2-1 vs Shapovalov, 5-3 vs Kyrgios. 4-2 vs Goffin, etc.

Who knows what the future holds...

Reasonable point. I was assuming the young generation remain mugs against them.

If you wish, you can add data about Federer I posted; it would make your post/thread complete/honest as it relates to Big 3. Otherwise, it might look like you try to hide some data; I know that you don't, but some people that don't know your honesty and objectivity may get wrong impression.

Is there a way to make it simpler like the other two instead of the grids with all that info?

Honestly, I'm more impressed with the fact Nadal has a losing record to 2 players currently on tour. That's insane.

The biggest takeaway that I have from all the posts above is that Federer has a negative record against a smaller number of players than Djokovic and Nadal after all 3 won their first slam.

Once again, Federer wins.

No, it will just be considered intellectually bankrupt. About half the "head to head" comparisons you cite involved all of ONE match. Intelligent persons would consider that an insufficient sample to draw any sort of informed conclusion. And you?

After what I witnessed today I can draw many conclusions. Djokovic compared this tournament to the USO. He won only three games against a young talent that everyone says will have an amazing career. The match had a lot of meaning.

Makes you think about pre-prime Djokodal.
Rafa was in his physical prime from RG 05-AO 09 imo. He was no slouch

As for Djokovic, he was #3 in 2007. Almost beat Fed in USO that year but choked at set points
