Playing in my first usta tournament

    I'm playing in my first usta tournament this weekend. Is there anything I should know about? Should I specifically bring anything? Thanks.

    Bring lots of water, a sweat rag, some racquets, and some spare balls to warm up with.

    If it's your first tourny, you really have nothing to lose. Everybody who sees you in the draw assumes you're not going to be a problem, a cakewalk first round. So just go out there and remember to swing out. I always play my best when I have nothing to lose.

    Also, talk to the guys you play, tons of really chill people go to tournaments and it makes it a lot more fun if you can hang around and talk with people between matches.

    I agree with Pyro. I love hanging out at tournaments with all the "tournament crowd". Some of the best tennis friends I have made have been through tournament play.
