    After many years of not playing tennis I've recently gotten back into it and am looking for local partners to play with. I was excited to see that the USTA was endorsing PlayTennis.com so I became a member (again) of the USTA mainly so I could register with PlayTennis.com with my USTA "Find a Partner" login info "as stated in the PlayTennis.com registration pop-up box".

    Low and behold... now you can only register with PlayTennis.com through your Facebook account (confirmed via email from the USTA to me). How much money is the USTA/PlayTennis.com getting from Facebook for this exclusive registration right? Total BS! Contrary to popular belief, some of us do not want to (and will never) have FB accounts. Whatever. I'll find people to play with regardless. However, the PlayTennis.com site would have been great when traveling to other places.

    IMO, the USTA should rethink it's position with PlayTennis.com and "exclusive" FB registration.

    End of rant :wink::)

    Looks like its user pictures are lifted directly from Facebook profiles too. This playtennis site is kinda icky.

    I have a FB account and it's useful enough, but I never use it at sites that want my FB details as part of the registration process. FB doesn't get to own me that much.

    ROTFL!!!

    Yeah, but then when you register with PlayTennis.com you have to list all your real name, etc so... FB wins.

    FB sucks.
