You do realize that I mentioned nothing about bribing to receive perfect SAT scores right? And your generalization of all institutions of higher learning as being pinnacles of integrity and honesty is overly simplistic and naive to say the least.

So you're saying I sound like someone with a victim mentality? What do you even know about me or my background? How do you know I didn't come from humble beginnings but worked hard to become a successful small business owner but that I also understand that corruption and cronyism is rampant in corporate America? Your words are nothing short of a personal attack on my integrity and sense of hard work. Notice that I have mentioned NOT ONE WORD about your personality to this point.

Yet, you sound bitter that some other people may have gotten further in life without having to work as hard as you did. Well guess what? Nobody said that life is fair. Not much you can do about other people. All you can control is yourself. So instead of harboring disdain for others, why not work or study hard and beat them at their own game? Obama did and look at where he is now. Or are you also claiming that he bribed his way to higher GPA's or used his connections to a perfect SAT score?

This thread now has absolutely nothing to do with the rackets that Andy "donated". Everytime I see that there has been an update to the thread I hope that finally someone has posted some info about the rackets, but instead only see bickering.. Can't we all just get along and stick to why we are all here in the first place?

'Bitter', 'Victim mentality'..... why do you insist on continuing these personal attacks on another member of this board? Have you not heard of the phrase "Debate the topic, not the debater"? It truly amazes me how a long standing member of this board such as yourself gets away with such comments. Or do you just happen to be a moderator?

What is it with you and SAT scores and GPAs? Surely you realize that perfect SAT scores and GPAs do not make you wealthy and well-connected? Or are you a high school kid who who is under the impression that these two factors are the be-all and end-all in life?

Your glorification and borderline worship of Barack Obama is disturbing to say the least. Have you for one moment stopped to consider the fact that a perfect storm of events led to him being the President? That in another day and age he would have been handsomely defeated by a more capable Republican candidate? A day and age when the country had not been reeling from 8 years of failed Republican economic and foreign policy? A more capable Republican candidate who had not selected a basket case from Alaska as a running mate? Or are you a member of the church of Obama and believe that his rise to power was destiny and that he will save this country by turning water into wine?

Yes, and the topic is Andy Roddick's tennis racquets. Yet you prefer to bring up George W. Bush and his grades at Yale.

Because if you want to be successful in this country, it can't hurt to start with high GPA's and a perfect SAT score instead of being bitter about other people's "connections" or "wealth".

Gee...you must not have read too many posts on this board. Me "glorify" and "worship" Barack Obama? You've got to be kidding me!!! I'm one of the biggest Obama critics on this board. I still want him to disclose his real birth certificate and his college transcripts to the public instead of having them sealed from the public. I'm about as big business and anti-government, anti-socialist as anyone can be. Just because I acknowledge Obama's personal achievements in life does not mean I agree in the least with his philosophies, agendas, programs, nor politics. Geez.....

He moves like an athlete in video I've seen of him on the basketball court, but how would he do against physical specimens like Washington, John Quincy Adams, and Teddy Roosevelt?

Let's say, to make it fair and on topic, equal training time, and all four get to use Roddick's racquets.

for the record, kerry and bush both had miserable gpa's at yale. (2.35?)

also might note that school administrators, like those at harvard and other "prestigious" institutions note a strong trend of promising students going into finance study rather than medicine, engineering, etc. presumably because of the possibility of rapid wealth acquisition, without the strenuous effort required in fields that generally are traditionally more productive to society in general.

Why would I joke about working hard as a good way to get ahead in life?

You are both to blame for the ridiculousness of this thread.

He was a troll and you should've known better than to feed him.
