I'm trying to conduct some research. Please add your data if you currently use or have used a poly in the past.

What poly have you used and in what racquet?
    What weight was the racquet?
Did you have any elbow or shoulder pain?

    Examples:
    Head Intelligence Prestige XL
    Approximately 13 oz
    Unique Big Hitter 17 @ 54lbs
    No arm or shoulder pain.

    Head FP Instinct Team
    Approx 10.5 oz
    Topspin Cyber Flash 17 @ 54lbs
    Tennis Elbow, hand/gripping irritation.

My guess is the same weight that steadies a racquet for off-center ball strikes also absorbs shock.

    What is your experience?

I thought I'd post a variation on the theme as I have tried all of these polys usually 2 or 3 in individual racquets (mostly Yonex) and then compared them to each other over the past 2-3 years. From softest (little or no pain) to stiffest (most pain) they are :

    1. Kirschbaum Competition 1.20
    2. Signum Poly Plasma 1.18
    3. Klip K-Boom 1.20
    4. RacquetFuel Control 1.20
    5. Babolat Pro Hurricane 18
    6. Luxilon Big Banger Ace 18
    7. Luxilon Big Banger Timo 18
    8. Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power 16
    9. Luxilon Big Banger Original 16
    10. Luxilon Monotec Supersense 16

As for swingweight, I found the majority add about 4 grams of weight compared to an 18 gauge multi - so you can calculate / estimate the additional swingweight from that.

Mostly in a V-Con 17 (which easily allowed me to feel the stiffness of strings). They have also been in an RDX 500 (which masked stiff strings very well) and now an RDS 001 which is between the two in terms of comfort.
