    hi all

i would like your help in finding a string....

i am a all court, big hitter who can create my own spin and will flatten shots out. i prefer to hit more of a heavy ball than a loopy one. when i am playing well i will hit hard drives that clear the tape by 3-5 feet and land deep in the court with late dipping spin. for this reason i need a control string that acts well to aggression

my favorite string is full bed alu power strung 50/48 CP. this got expensive, there was a sale on Lux m2 plus 1.3mm and have been playing with it for several months at 48/46 CP. my reel is running out and need new string..

my shoulder and forearm are starting to hurt. i am looking for something easier on the arm but i prefer a firmer/crisper feel to strings

i have tried cyclone 16gg, Vpro16, silverstring, proline x, SPPP.

none have the directional control i am looking for. to be fair, i tried them all once and could have optimized the tension a little better but did not. i prefer not to experiment too much as i am playing matches.

if i only had the above options, i would lean toward SPPP strung tighter or silverstring.

i play with a prestige pro modded to 350 SW which punishes strings (and the ball:twisted:) so i need a string that can take a beating

i prefer to buy in reel form as i string my own.

    thanks.

Kirschbaum Pro Line X or possibly even Super Smash.

The Pro Line X has more control, but less power and spin, while the Super Smash definitely has much more spin, and a tad more power.

Both are very soft, and I recommend the two to try, plus for Co-Poly they are not too expensive either.

Big Banger Original is great stuff! Very control oriented but is still softer than Alu power. Also cheaper too.

    thanks for your suggestion.

i tried proline x, and thought it felt too mushy. is there a crisp feeling string that is easy on the arm?

You may a have time finding what you want in terms of it being nice on the arm while hitting hard and looking for that control. I really like red code 17 obviously it's not great on the arm but I can swing out with it at low tensions and get great control. If you like SPPP and Silverstring which I did too but I think Red Code offers more control for bigger hitters.

Give Super Smash a try, it is much more crisp than the X. I forgot to mention that.
