Needs more light or a Flash. Also the picture can be a wee bit smaller.

Nice set up. Seems like a lot of places for string to get hung up on though.

I haven't really had that problem. I was afraid initially that it would not allow me the mobility I wanted to get the stringing done, but it has worked great....

I think that was an Ikea shelf before, and now an A/V enterainment unit. Seems kinda low. Do you string while kneeling?

It is actually the same height as the shelf and works just as well.

Those lights are nice for stringing. I got one of those lights 2 years ago and it makes a big difference especially if you string a lot at night time.

I got mine from a place called The Sportsmans Guide. I get their catalogs sent to me every couple months, I'm sure that they are online as well. Just look up sportsmansguide dot com and they should come up.
The light works very well, as you can position it just where you like it, and its still out of the way to turn the turntable around.Small florescent bulbs has nice even light.I did have to put mine on a small box a few inches high on the floor, just to raise the height the proper amount, but it was just what I needed.Once it is in position its there all the time. I'm surprised that the stringing machine companies don't have something like this attached to their machine, as this and a cup holder would have been nice!
You would not be dissapointed with a light like this, especially at night, as the room that I string in is not that well lighted bright.

Yeah I have one of those as well. Great for stringing in low light areas, especially if you are stringing a blac racquet with black grommets!

The Comet is running Great! I have strung about 20 rackets and it working great. In a couple of months I might consider the Wise Tension Head but it is expensive.

The Wise would be a great ad on for it. I got the comet specifically to put a Wise on it. Post pic's when you get it. It will look something like this minus the tool tray and red clamp bases.

I made it in my metal shop. I tossed it when the comet went to Fla.
    Maybe I should have shipped?

Hey that would have been cool but no worries its fine. Also i can't use it with the crank so it would not be too much help until i get the Wise.
    Thanks

^^^ It's a Silent Partner Opus in the US, over here it's branded as a Tyger, who are a big European Tennis brand. It's manufactured in Taiwan by one of the usual OEM suspects! Touch wood so far it has been impeccable and is incredibly well put together (fantastically heavy!).

    Cheers

^^Great machine Ash. I have a buddy who owns the Opus. As you say, it is fantastic and very well built, although his has drawers for storage. Not sure if yours includes the drawers and you opted to not put them in.

^^^ Hey Rick, yeah, mine has the drawer but the whole lot weighs a ton anyway so it's easier to transport to events with out the drawer attached!

    How married life treating you?!
