I went to see the college women's tennis matches and i think they all would take me out easily. no need to bring out the pros :)

    BTW,
Drak remember to hit the ball with a lot of topspins like Nadal.
According to Brad Gilbert, that is how to play against a very good woman player. He says most women players like flat balls but they are not used to spin balls :)

BabolatPDStandard, are you in the US?
Can you tell me where you got this cap? I've been looking for it forever.
I noticed it still have the tag...are you willing to sell it?

    Thanks

LOL, that is exactly how I hit against her. When she starts laying it up shorter on the court, I flatten it out. :)

But, they have to be spinny shots that have good pace and are penetrating thru the court. If not, she has no problems with just topspin shots.

One of my friends was serving a legit 90-95 when she was 16. That was last spring, haven't clocked her this spring.

i've played a couple d1 female players at my club over the last couple of winters and they will eat up any kind of pace. it just comes back harder. and they don't miss if in position.

however, they were not comfortable at the net nor did they have a mid court/approach game. short angled slices gave them trouble as well as anything requiring quick lateral movement.

still beat me 6-4 and i was sucking wind fierce after, which is rare for me.

It's funny, when I play against D1 or former D1 girls, I always know I am going to have the bigger ground game, bigger serve, and better net game :)oops:). And I know that they will be more consistent on easier balls, double fault less, and play within themselves more.

But the thing that really surprised me the first few times, especially considering that I don't think of my movement as a strength at all is how vastly I outclass them with my court coverage.

I want one of those shirts...the 3rd greatest tennis shirt of all-time. I had read somewhere that adidas was going to reissue it this year in the Originals collection...but so far all I've seen is a crappy T-shirt with an argyle pattern that vaguely resembles the Lendl shirt.

Anyway, I'm curious Mick, where do you get your stuff? Do you buy this stuff off E B A Y or have you had it all for 20+ years?

Where do you get those Nike t-shirts? The regular cotton ones w/ tennis themed designs.

    I did get them from e b a y.

The lendl argyle shirts in new/excellent condition don't appear there as often as the jackets. I got 4 of them argyle jackets in different colors and they all were less expensive than this shirt.

Jollyboy, is this cheap shot of yours directed at Babolast or me?

I have you know that I drop at least 5 grand on Tennis Warehouse every year. Go look at my order history. Do I even need to prove myself after showing my shoes and others! If you want a duel, anytime is fine with me. Don't use that "I'll post mine if you post yours" to chicken out. We can post them together within 1hr, just give me at least 1 hr to post mine as it would really take that long. I don't see how you possibly have more of these wardrobe things than me unless you own Tennis Warehouse or a shop.

Was talking about Babolast, he was the one who was running his mouth, and who was talking to me. You always seemed like a cool guy in other threads, and I don't even remember saying anything to you in this one.

J011yroger, Okay, then, consider this a friendly fire by mistake.:) You seem like a cool dude too, I must admit though you have more N90s and K90s than me, even though I haven't seen/came cross the pictures yet.

I like the ST, chris_in_japan, but those crew necks are crying out in pain! Hangers stretch, stretch, stretch the necks until your entire shoulder width will fit inside :).

Also, where did you get the plain white ST cap? Looks nice and basic. All the ones they sell here in the US are some weird cycling style caps.

Here are some of my wrist bands:

I use the Dark Navy most of the time. Somehow those red ones look cooler on King Fed's wrists. And the Balbolat is supposedly doubleband, but it looks like single to me.

No pics but mine's pretty bare at the moment, just the adidas YOC theme polo from the US Open in both colours and the navy YOC bermudas. Probably going to add to it in the summer with something from the Edge line or perhaps branch out and get one of Murray's Fred Perry outfits.
