I'm trying to work out the same thing, its a little confusing as there are only 4 knots. Maybe he strung one string first (one piece) doing mains and crosses but skipping every other main/cross and then the other string using the same method. Also when weaving the first string he didn't alternate over and under, he did it the same as he was skipping a line out??

Is that a different grommet setup than stock? I like the wrap around look.

They're called CAP grommets and have been standard on Head Prestige rackets for some years. They're good, protect the racket a lot.

haha wow you must like your racquet to have a DEAD feel, the yonex is already dampened enough without a dampener and you have a worm AND shockbuster. WOW lol

the frame is actually Roman Borvanov's. I havent checked but he says he is 380 in the world. He has it strung as a 1 piece job at 51 / 49. He had me do 4 of them at that tension for him while he was in town

Hmmm...never heard of him, but he has a good racquet. Thanks, Kal-El for the reply, just trying to get a few fairly cheap, but good strings to put on my mains along with my xcel power to get an idea what string to stick with.

Hey Takano what kind of dampener it that? It's like the did in the olden days when they had like a wire running across like that on the woodies. that looks more like a gel string.

LOL! yeah.. kinda like my old slaz having the black wiry stuff.. That stuff coiled ard oldies was to increase its current tension. Coz in those days guys string up to like 85lbs & are still not getting enough control. So they kinda try to 'tweak' it a littl tighter..

that is what i was trying to do here.. making the strings tighter using a rubbery hose danpner .. coz i made a mistake with the tension & dun wanna cut my strings becoz of it.:)

I LOVE THAT RACQUET! my old tennis coach gave it to me before he moved, but i got mad losing and smashed it. I still keep the broken pieces to remember him, anyway i loved that racquet. But now play with the Babolat Pure Storm Ltd.

1 piece at 2 diff. tensions? won't the tighter mains pull on the looser crosses...
