Yeah I.prestige mid XL's. Brilliant sticks. Would buy 3 more if they came up.
Very cool and creative.
2 thumbs up from me.
I've stringing my other 2 prestiges atm, I'm looking for ideas of what to put on the strings...
Nice Racquets & string job!
MarratSaffin- Nice looking racquets & string jobs! I have the same racquets also, but play with the new P/D GT. How do you like the Signum Pro Tornado? I am getting away from ALU Power do to tennis elbow, plus Alu dieds to fast! I have recently purchased W/C silversting, Sig Pro Tornado & Hyperion, Revenge to try in the mains & use gut in the crosses. Currently have one Gt strung with Revenge(50lbs.) mains & NVY(BAB) in the crosses(53lbs.). Faily nice combo. By the way...Do you like the Pure Control or the Original Pure Drive more? I have only been playing tennis for a little over a year now. Hit the ball machine everyday for 1 1/2 hours....just now get a mild form of tennis elbow and have always strung racquets low! Happy Holiday....Dan...
How do these two sticks compare in terms of feel. I formally played with that PC in about 02-03 and enjoyed them a lot. my understanding is the VS Control is just a stiffer version? Could you please elaborate?
Thanks. Tornado feels a bit like wire- I like Hyperion better and didn't notice a significant spin advantage from the Tornado. The older Plasma Hextreme have even better spin potential than the Tornado IMO.. Alu certainly die much faster than all the newer co-polys and I'm not using it anymore. I play with the swirly Pure Control as the Pure Drive's beam width is too thick for my liking and packs too much pop- the PC's give me an excellent balance of power and control. I did lead up original and swirly PD's to match PC's specs..
You like the GT? The newer PD's felt stiffer- I thought if you go back to the original PD it'll help ease your small problems with TE. The original PD is still the best PD for me- can really get amazing spin with it.
The VS Control felt similar to the swirly PC if leaded up- it's only 310g unstrung compared to the PC's 330g, but perhaps I still haven't figured out the correct lead setup and the VS Control still feel like it's missing something. It's actually a less stiff version- 64RA for the VSC and 66RA for the PC.
How did you make that kind of stencil? seems like it would take awwhile to do...
hmm interesting. i had just read somewhere it was a stiffer layup. I have never seen one. I guess it kind of waht the pure storm is based off of. What is the sw unstrung. I think it probably says in the throat because if i recall the pure control swirly is 300?
got my blackcode in the mail today and just strung it when i was at work..
I believe the VS Control came out before the PC so is probably less related to the Storm? I think the Storm is based off the last Pure Control (team), but it's just a guess. Unstrung SW on the throat says 300 also, but I don't think it's accurate. Although the VSC's balance is slightly more HH at 315mm compared to the PC's 310mm, there is a full 20g difference in static weight.:-? I added a total of 15g lead to the VSC to get the same strung SW as the PC.
what strings are these?
What strings are these
Not sure but looks kind of like blue gear or pro hurricane or head ultratour
Marrat- Have you hit with the GT? I have all from 1994 and, besides the original) this is a excellent playing racquet. Lot more spin & power...plus better feel. I have 3 of the PC's(Swirly) maybe give that a try again. I am not sure if the racquet cause the TE, could have been trying different grips(Semi-western & 1hand bachhand)? Was hitting with the eastern forehand. Could be a number of reasons, not relaxing the grip etc. Anyway...Happy Hitting!!! PS- I here fishing for the Brown Trout in New Zealand is outstanding?
What do you think?.....
my old Adidas Mid
Fishing for brown trouts? There are heaps here but only up north where it's warmer I think! I've hit with the PDGT and PDRGT's, they felt a lot better than the cortex and I'd say they are closer to the swirlys. The original PD without the woofer has that raw feel which is just different.
My Xmas frame. Gaucho 16G red spiral nat gut in the mains and Gaucho 16G red nat gut in the crosses. Strung at 56 lbs on my drop weight.
I don't normally think "that looks cool" after I string up a frame but this one caught my eye...
Pro Staff Tour 90
Tecnifibre X-One Biphase 1.30mm Red Mains @ 56 lbs.
Luxilon BB ALU Power 1.25mm Crosses @ 60 lbs.
Head LM 4 w/ BA @ 60Lbs. I'm trying to sell it, but I haven't done a full red job before.
Love the stencil hahahaha.
Sorry not allowed to post pics but I have some nice ones on my site
^^^ Some steep prices you've got there.
where did you get he green and white twisted
Gotta charge what you are worth.
This is NY and my prices are cheaper than the pro shops at each of the clubs I play at, but thanks
+1 for Ocarina of Time
That golden copy is probably worth more than the frame he had in hand, haha.
I see. No offense meant. Just makes me glad that I don't live in NY then.
really? damn and I was thinking of taking it to ripmeofspot for some cash. Then, again, I like busting it out just to play the Ocarina. The songs are awesome. I want to sell some games though.
New Rebel Stringing
Here's another view....
By bet= MSV Focus Caribbean Blue
what stencil is that?
or is it just ice cream
^^^It's an Adinkra symbol--The Sepo--or the Assassin's dagger. I thought it would be fitting.
SPPP Mains x Gamma Syn Gut Crosses
didn't turn out how i had imagined
^^^ nvm i don't know how to upload pics me = noob
Dunlop 4D AG200 16x19 with Gaucho mains/Maxim Touch crosses
Tecnifibre 320VO2 with Cyber Red mains/Gosen crosses
My Head Radical Tour Twin Tube OS 18x19, my cheapo string hybrid of a short 20" half set of UATennis Super Polyester 17 and AG International AG100 15L Nylon. I own a Klipper table top stringer where you really need extra string length to the puller. So I figured out a box pattern that allowed me to use the short half set of Poly for the mains:
Me like a lot
Donnay Pro-One Supermidsize Ldt Edition with RAB Endura Edge in black at 54 1-piece (for my son):
I call it the Oakland Raider, and fortunately i'm better than Al Davis at managing myself in a sport.
Topspin CF mains, Gamma TNT2 in the crosses, actually plays very nicely.
Yeah, mine is the 16x19 version of the 200
i would snap my arm if i played with that.....im scared
What tension do you string your Tour 90 with the new Mantis strings? I just received the Mantis strings and want to string up a Yonex- RDX 500 mid 90, been playing with the Pure Drive. I like the extra weight of the RDX....first time hitting with the 90". THanks......
