Is the braided graphite at 3 and 9 painted on, or is it legit?

It looks awfully glossy doesn't it? I don't remember graphite being that reflective.

its legit but i think what you see is painted on. it is pretty glossy. that being said my cell phone camera is not the best

the solinco frames are very nice but this one is not for me. It is pretty smooth swinging, but I like the 10 a lot more for my game. I don't know how long I'll hold onto this one

I always wanted the Donnay Academy Pro MP. Never tried one and the stiffness would probably wreak havoc on my wrist but they were awfully purdy.

Thanks! It doesn't say, but compared to other racquets it looks 97-ish.

so this is the mp, i remember that the Os version was a 110 sq. inc. This one appears to be the same mold of the Donnay Formula Pro 97 sq.in.

My POGs. From the left are two one-stripes, two Tour Graphite OS, one Graphite 90 (four stripes), and finally six Graphite Midplus (four stripes).

Dino, How many sticks do you have? I have 14 and thought I was a racquet junkie lol. You clearly have me beat!

I love testing frames and different strings and tinkering. It's fun.

You can totally trust your eyes. I used to stencil my racquets like that for a little while many years ago...

I have like 330 racquets. I realize that's quite a few, but my aim has never been to get as many as possible, but to enjoy trying different racquets out. Especially graphites from the 80s and 90s. Also, I've got these frames over a period of 15 years, so that's only about two per month on the average.

There are people on here who've got thousands, so they've clearly got me beat... :)

James Blake's and Donald Young's racquets.

Blake's racquet has dual core construction and is very stiff (68-69RA). Stock weight is 310g, but it doesn't play well until leading up to 350g. The retail Pro One 18x20 plays much easier at lower weight.

Young's racquet has a softer feel compared to Babolat Pure Drive 2012, but not as comfortable as Donnay Formula 100.

    :)

No, not all of them. There are a few woods and metals that I haven't played with. Also I have some unstrung NOS, that I obviously haven't played either. Apart from that there may have been a few others that have gone under the radar. A guesstimate would be that I have hit with at least 250 of my racquets.

My favorite? That's a very hard question, and I don't think I could pick just one. So here's my top-12, in no particular order:

    Rossignol FGC
Puma Davis Cup (From the Super mold)
    Fischer Vacuum Elliptic Pro
    Head PT630
    Head PC600
    Head Radical Tour 630 ( 1998 )
    Yonex Super-RD Tour 90
    Yonex RD-7
    Donnay Pro Ceramic
    Donnay Pro International
    Dunlop Max400i
    Völkl C10 Comp Mid

I played some 30 matches in 2012. In about half of those, I guess, I played with the Head Radical Tour 630 ( 1998 ).
