    Hey IHTM,

Can you expand on your time with the Rad Pro? Which model did you have?

    Do you have a 1HBH?

    Thanks!

    It's alright! ;)

Hey Gino, I had the YT Rad Pros for 2 + years. In their stock form I found them to be uncontrollable and after a week was about to give up on them when I decided to add half an once of lead tape under the grip and everything changed. They were still powerful but much more controlled. After a bit of trial and error I settled on Tonic+ mains and RPM Team crosses at 54 lbs and I loved the racquets. Excellent feel and comfort, incredible spin and when I was stretched wide the racquet helped cover for me. The stability was excellent as well. I played a really big server in a tournament and I just had to meet the ball out front and the racquets took care of the rest. The racquets were 12.1 oz strung and had a swingweight of 345 so they really hit through the ball. I know some people feel 100 inches isn't conducive to a OHBH but I had no issues and enjoyed hitting backhands with the racquets.

I'm only moving on because I wanted to treat myself to some new racquets, the incredible reviews I've seen on the PB 10 Mid and I've always been a big of Volkl.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I ask this because I'm in the market for a new stick but I am having trouble picking a frame that doesn't have too hefty of a SW, and I am currently looking into the YT Radical IG Pro and the Speed IG 300. I am also looking for an arm-friendly stick and Volkl also has some offerings that fit the bill. I am just wary about the 93 sq inch headsize of the PB10 mid.

If you have some time, take a look at my thread and feel free to post your comments: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=458647

    Thanks!

That looks like a great platform racquet. I considered the old 295 to mess around with when it was cheap but I prefer an open pattern.

Made in Austria, Designed in Austria, BLANK. What am I supposed to think?

Designed in Austria = Made in China?

I also have a Made in Austria HEAD and it has that same white sticker. What's it for?

Don't know about the sticker, nor do I know where they are made, could be china could be czech? Don't really mind as they all feel the same to me.

Only the Made is Austria is actually made in Austria; the other two are Chinese makes I believe. The Designed in Austria version is missing the "Head Barcode Inside" printing.

Just lead. I put Fairways on them so the lead under the grip is not hard to do.

Enjoy, the Prestige Pro is a nice racket. The handle is a little small compared to my YouTek IG, but I hit a one hander, so it doesn't bother me.

Thanks. I hit a two-handed backhand, but don't mind the short handle. I've been a long time user of 6.1 95s and those handles aren't much longer.

    Thanks for that.
When it says 'Barcode Label Inside' does that always mean it's made in Austria or is it just for this particular model?

When a HEAD frame had Designed in Austria and "Barcode Label Inside" it means it was Manufactured in Austria.

Oh wow, had no idea. I have 3 Prestige racquets and I thought only one was made in Austria. I have a Classic Mid and a Prestige Classic 600 and they both say 'Designed in Austria' and 'Barcode Label Inside'. Have had them for 15yrs and only now finding out the truth:oops:

BTW, what does it mean 'Barcode Label Inside'? Do I need to crack open the frame to actually see this elusive barcode label?

Haha, I just don't understand the logic behind your post. You know that some Head frames TW sells, do come prestrung, right? What difference does it make if it comes prestrung from a shop, or from TW?

I just really didn't understand (what I read to be) derision on the poster for getting a prestrung frame from his local shop. Sorry if I took it in the wrong context, but that's how I read it.

TW is awesome, and they sell a great variety of items, but the next time you need a stringjob or you just want a blister of overgrips maybe the local store is now closed because everyone buys from TW. Considering the price difference is not considerable of course...

What difference is there between a YT Prestige Pro that comes pre-strung and one that doesn't?

Yeah but you said his dealer is not the best because of that. How do you cast judgement on his dealer simply because they carry the same racquet that comes pre-strung?

read my post after clarifying it. its not the shop, its the fact the racket is prestrung.

unstrung, prestrung... it doesn't matter unless there is a price difference between the two versions and/or you don't want that particular string/tension.
