I have been collecting these racquets for the past 6 months and I adopted most of these racquets from garage sales, fleamarkets, estate sales, goodwill... I thought it might be fun to post the pictures of your great finds (please do not include racquets from online auctions) I have several more racquets that I bought of online action but lets leave them out. I love to hear some of the stories behind them too because every racquet has a story behind it. Enjoy!

It is on my wish list but I refuse to pay hundred of dollars for it. I do have a mint Wilson Ultra 2 Boron (not shown in the pic) and Wilson Sting that I believe they were made in St. Vincent.

It is Prince Graphite Volley 110. This is my main oversize racquet. It came out in 1984. This racquet has thin flat beam, solid (12.6 oz) and little more flexible than my POG oversize. I love the color combo flat black with red stripe (old school). I play one handed BH normally with my Mid. but now hitting two handed BH with this stick and loving it.

Care to share some of that luck around? :)
Seriously, I check garage sales around my neighborhood and my around my cousin's house too...and no one sell racquets!

Ah, maybe luck will shine on me later. I can still dream.

My hard earned $1.00 and it is in excellent shape.
Normally, I prefer not to tell people how much I paid for some of my racquets just in case I want to sell them someday:). I do spend a lot of time looking for some of these racquets. The Tony Trabert C-6 plays fantastic. I use it for warm up or hitting for fun and the sensation of this racquet is hard to explain. Crisp and precise but I have to make sure my footwork and early prep are all there due to the very small head size. In other words, I can not get lazy with this classic.

Of course, I play with most of them except wood racquets. I don't see the point of just keeping these classics in the closet. The only racquet I'm not using is the Matchmate because it is 28 inches long and I prefer standard 27 inches and besides this thing is almost mint condition so I don't want to scratch it. I even have most of the covers for all of these racquets.

both midplus... woulda loved if they were mid, but i have both in a mid already as well. i will probably sell the stars and stripes, and the i.prestige. there is a ti. radical midplus and OS, i will probably get rid of those as well. I really just wanted the adidas and the woodies. the prince graphite was just gravy

the graphite i just strung up. i think it is a new model midplus, but it has no signs of use at all

i have no idea what the stars and stripes are worth. I will look into it a little bit. I know they are really hard to come by these days. It's in phenomenal shape. Might have been used a couple of times, no real signs of use.

i can take better pics of it...

    i.prestige 60 bucks + s/h or make an offer

What do you expect him to do?

If he's not gonna keep it, then why not sell it for the going value?

He got lucky finding them cheap.

I would be careful about calling people morons. There are probably a lot of things that you have no clue on the value. If you were cleaning things out of a house and there were a bunch of things, lets say from your grandparents- trinkets, paintings, furniture, ect. that all appeared old and junky, you could easily let them go for 10% of their real value.

    Where you from Goober?

We call people a lot worse than a moron here, and it is either a neutral referance or a term of endearment.

Not something one would be offended by.

Exactly, and it doesn't bother them a lick, same in NY, it is perfectly acceptable to call your friend a 'Knob Jockey'.

Well there would have to be some context.

If I was on line at a supermarket, and all my stuff was rung up and I was fumbling around for my wallet, and the guy behind me said "What is the matter? You didn't realize that eventually you would have to pay for this stuff ya moron?"

For it to be a term of endearment it would have to come from a friend or relative, so if my dad or friend called me a moron when I poured orange juice into my coffee instead of cream, that would be a term of endearment.
