How does that outsole feels on HarTru? Not slippery?

Thanks... It helps to be in stock photography and have a homemade studio in the guest bedroom... Nikon D7100.

I play on HarTru with them every other day, the traction is similar to beat up B7s; good enough for me. I can slide without worrying about them being to sticky (unlike the B7 clay version), yet I can still stop on a dime.

Ha, that's funny about your wife. you might have to get her the Sharapova Vapor 9's to make up for it!

I love what you have achieved here customizing the shoes, it's very well done. The only criticism I would have is that someone needs to find a way to get the RF sewn properly into the tongue, the way Roger's actual custom shoes have.

Seen here in this pic of an RF287, it's not a patch stuck onto the tongue:

But I'm just being pedantic, you've done a great job.

my wife does not play tennis so I don't need to buy Vapor 9 for her haha.
Actually, I was looking at women's vapor 9 for myself but since it's so popular, hard to find good deal either.

My point of customization was all about "easy to make".
Embroidery will take more time and money.
If I want to replicate like the real fed version, I don't think I will wear those shoes. RF logo at tongue was made by heat transfer material and take less than 5 min to finish. Round Swiss flag and RF logo was made by vinyl film decal. Since it's very cheap to make, I don't mind wear the shoes ^_^.

I was very interested in NikeID vapor but I have more fun with this kind of customization for myself. I have several more ideas of making other versions such as rafa version of clay vapor 9 haha but unfortunately I can't get every vapor 9s T_T

I was thinking the same thing; I never once thought of starting with 'red' on the VaporId config tool. But these shoes are awesome and @finalfantasy7 nailed it - sure he's getting a lot of compliments when he wears them.

You might see my answer from the top part of this page.
Anyway, I sent the message but my answer is same.
    Check your email ^_^

Actually CB has some rough surfaces so decal vinyls do not stick as good as smooth surfaces but it still hold well though.

Bridgestone started tennis bussiness in 1970s.
Probably only available in Japan and several Asian countries.

I was a little surprised too that they started tennis bussiness in late 70s.
I thought as early as late 80s or even 90s.
I've seen some shoes before and it looks good. Also some of their rackets are very interesting too.

Past four years, I've seen their products lines and they make interesting items such as rackets, shoes and dampeners from the Bridgestone. unfortunately Price of rackets are almost twice and three times expensive than US so I've never tried their products except dampeners. I only bought dampeners for fun haha.

yeahh I think the CB4.3's look much better when the mesh and the cage are the same color!

I'd say they might be a tad darker than the ones on the TW website, though I wouldn't say its too far off... mine looks a lil darker than in person because it was really cloudy today = not a lot of light haha! still a superb colorway tho!

Rhino it goes without saying"dopeness on a stick on your vapor set! I can't believe some of these sellers on the bay trying to get rid of those 287s for 3-10Gs?!

sports4eva115 that teal cw on the 4.3s are smoking! I've bought almost every cw and that's the next one on the chopping block.

Thanks, now I just want those US Open Vapor IV's but I've only ever seen a couple of pairs on The Bay and they were too expensive.

Yes it's a shame for the fans who want the 287's. Unfortunately there are still people paying just above $2000, so the sellers stand firm. I paid $800, which I thought was a bit steep at the time but it could've been worse.

I have a pair of those US open IVs. Thee toe area is really yellow now from age. I remember getting them for 30$ at the outlet along with the US open vapor Vs for 40$. I loved the IV's because of the leather or whatever upper.

Got these in the mail yesterday, played a high school singles and doubles match in them last night, much more comfortable than the last 2 pair of 4.3s I had! [IMG]

Finally had a chance to take them all out of the box for a group pic!

From top to bottom, left to right: (but you guys all know your shoes anyway!)

adidas Barricade Team 2, adidas Barricade Team 2, adidas Barricade Team 1 (I actually have two pairs of these)
Nike Courtballistec 1.2, Babolat Propulse 4, Asics Gel Resolution 4

The CB's are my oldest pair and least comfortable so it's just for practice. The GR4 is my main shoe right now.

I'm in the market for some new shoes - currently using barricade 4s, how does the fit on the barricades compare to the asics and babolats?

My adidas are 10.5 and pretty snug. The asics GR4, had to go down a size to 10 and fit great but sometimes I'll wear two socks for a really snug fit.

The Babolat PP4 is from the TW playtest so I was being cautious and went with the 11 since I couldn't try them on but I wish I had gone with 10.5. I am able to wear one sock if I really tighten the laces and straps but two socks really help here as well. My feet don't move around in the shoe so it's ok that I ordered a size too big.

Overall, I'm really happy with all three shoes but the asics are the most comfortable.

Barricades still seem clunky to me, even when they are lighter then the Nike's CBs...

Asics too flimsy if you are very heavy, but then again, I've never tried their top model (resolution or w/e), but the medium ones (around $60 on sale) and I ended up using them for walking. Their inside lining gives way pretty quick too, compared to all other brands(Addidas, Nike etc)
