Haha yeah I was originally going to get a Nike before I found out you could get the Barricades customised. I'm feeling pretty good about them, looking forward to trying them out on the courts tomorrow.

If only nike let you customized Court Ballistecs? I think they would rake it in on that. A lot more people would be willing to shell out $160 on a durable shoe. I've almost pulled the trigger on the Barricades, but the normal 8s did not agree with my feet. Curious about the "comfort package" if anyone has compared that to the stock B8s?

Before the Vapor 9's they had Nike iD for the Zoom Breathe 2k12's. But they were only SLIGHTLY more durable than the Vapors.

Yea, I found the tread on my 2k11s and 2k12s actually wore out a little faster, with better initial traction, than Vapor 7, 8 or 9. The uppers on 2k11s are still GOAT for me. Still looking for something that fit & performed like those.

I totally forgot about that. Those 2k ID's were pretty sweet! I scored a couple pairs of them off egay in the wide fit and they are still some of my favorite shoes.

Exactly. He's right. I wear only one pair of shoes with no rotations and I destroy my upper way faster than I wear down my sole. It's nothing new to me and I wouldn't blame Nike for it. Please post pictures instead of ranting.

I got the comfort package and I found it to be far more comfortable than the shop B8 I tried on, but that could just be me.

Today I tested a possibility of customization for LB since decal won't stick to shoes so I used air brush. It's not perfect but there is a good chance to customize LB with air brush ^_^

I had the same problem with my vapors.
In about 10 hours of usage the same part close to the tow were burnt.
They are light and comfy but surely they simply are not made for some feet(not that mines are particularly anormal). They know that, that's why they don't offer a guarantee for it.

Maybe it is my Argentinian style of playing in clay that wears it off. But it was a huge dissapointment for me. I compete and I expect my shoes to last me at least 3 month without decaying in performance.

Some people won't accept that this shoes are not good for everyone maybe for these reasons:
-They never had the problem and the shoes worked for them. You gotta admit that if you do not have this problem the shoes are not so bad.
-They are biased because of marketing. Maybe if Federer didn't use this shoes they would be more open minded(I love Fed btw!)

Fortunately they gave me a new pair of Airmax Cage for these Vapors. Although the shoes don't have a guarantee they said the problem was recurrent and many custommers reclaimed for the same issue.

    Here my pic.

Using shoes with a mesh upper (the hard court version) on a clay court is part of the problem you're having. Nike makes clay court versions of the Vapors with a synthetic leather upper for better durability on the dirt. They won't rip as easily

Yes. it's women's version. I had last nike voucher from CB 4.3 claim then nike had 20% sales plus $99 women LB so I used the voucher plus extra $$$ to get two pairs instead of one men's LB. Nowadays there is no color differences between Men's and women's hahaha.

slightly off topic question from the thread, but I too have been disappointed in how just how quickly my vapor 9.5s started to wear quickly from just playing 1-2 matches on (har-tru) clay; fortunately I have Barricade 8s, which I have been favoring over the Vapors over time due to durability and was wondering if the Barricades would suffice as a competent clay shoe? I have a har-tru clay tourney coming up next week and will certainly not be using the vapors.

and anyone purchase and have pics of the B8+ yet? I am very close in purchasing a pair but also waiting for new cosmetics to be released as I am not a fan of any of the present colors

I used leftover paint from my RC Lexan body paint. I think Acrylic paint might work too.
I have some decal papers and cuts bull logo (full logo) then applied part of decal film to shoes and painted with airbrush.
I did not do clear coat but I should do it...
Actually I ended up with more...^_^

Easily the Vapor 9 tour from USO 2012 night addition. The obsidian/red colorway looks phenomenal on it, really regret not buying this.

You know what, they are really good! Agassi used to win grand slams in these things, so how bad can they be? Having said that he also used to play wearing a toupée as well. :)

    Here's a better pic: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kickpix/14602490359/

I think they look cool. Good for casual use as well as tennis.

Well, after wearing my Vapor 9.5's for less than 3 months the sole has decided to give away and rip away from the shoe. So I had to go back too Adidas and picked up the Barricade 8+ for a steal at Decathlon!

Will give a small review once I've broken them in and played in them!

ALSO, I usually take a UK 10 but I had too buy a WHOLE size up too a UK 11 which ensures I won't get toe jamming! enjoy guys :)

Those new 9.5s look ridiculously sick! I just wish the hard court version had the exact same color pattern as the clay court version.

^^^^ Nike should hire him to take pics - better than theirs. Look great on that surface.
