Thanks very much!
purchased these from TennisWarehouse on May 2nd - This is what they look like today...do you think they qualify?
I don't have the original warranty claim that came in the shoe box, as I threw the box away and it was in there, how did I go about getting another one and what kind of box can I send them in if I don't have the one they came in.
Yes, they'll qualify 100%. Just tell them when you call up for your claim number that you threw away the warranty, so long as you have the original receipt should be ok. Funnily enough, when I get chance I'm sending in my 3.3s with a hole in the toe and heel sans warranty card too. Mine were only a couple of months of wear though, not too impressed with the hardiness but ok at sale prices I suppose.
I don't have the original receipt, just the online email one, does that work?
I forgot to update. They did get accepted. Got a new pair of lunar glide running shoes + vapors for just $10 on top of the voucher. Not a bad deal IMO.
Maybe. If from TW (or Nike.com), give them a call and they'll provide you with another receipt I believe.
these shoes do not have a 6 month warranty but how would say the condition is after 6 months?
they are the babolat drive's that TW has on sale for $40.
i have been using them 1x / week.
Some people play more than 10 hours per week. Hours is key not time. How long on them?
I've used the email receipt before with adidas and had no problem.
By the way, kimguroo - great thread. It's interesting to see how other people wear down their shoes. You can really tell the difference between heel strikers and forefoot strikers.
good point. i should have mentioned that.
only about 2 hours a week for 6 months.
seems like they should have lasted longer.
I don't know, 48 hours of court time from a $40 investment is not bad and they look to have another 6-12 hours or so left.
If I were to buy Vapors, I'd be spending $75-100 on shoes that I'd get around 24 hours from, which would be madness. Even Barricades only give me about 60 due to toe wear, and they're the toughest 6month warranty shoe out there (works out as $60 each, inc mailing and tax, when you pay $100 for them like me).
Got to pay to play I'm afraid
can you ask nike for a diff colorway? for ex. i have the scarlet 4.3's and i want the gry/blk 4.3's. im stilll whithin my 6 month guarantee zone
Nike Sends a voucher that you can use for anything online at nike.com. Yes that also includes ID stuff
These were approved today, hole in left toe, partial hole in right toe and outside of left heel worn down. Say what you want re Nike, but their customer service is top notch.
I posted a thread before wondering if these would count, and I just got an email saying Nike approved them, so that's nice.
what do you guys think? Ready to go?
Yes. The shoes has a hole. It's good enough to claim the warranty.
I'm not gonna lie...that hole looks a little suspect. May be the angle of the picture, though.
There's no frikin' way that hole happened through natural causes...
The rubber outsole around it is just not worn enough.
This is what normal wear would generally look like, side by side with the same shoe new-ish.
Actually, Propulses tend to wear out like that. I normally wear them out the normal way, but Propulses just pop and wear down very fast once the rubber is worn through. I wore out two pairs exactly like those
that will do.. and the companies usually take your word for it... most people wont bother to send them back so the very small percentage that the shoe companies receive.. they usually accept.
Has anybody sent back any NB shoes on warranty here? If so, How has it been? Do you think I can get a change of color or even a change of model if I wore a hole through my 851's?
I sent a pair of babolat team all court 4 and yes they were worn out. I put on the package the receipt and the check they need for shipping. Do i have to contact them, if so where? or the new shoes will be shipped back to me just like that.
I have sent Nikes and asics, but never a babolat
just posting some good words for TW and their handling of shoe returns. My wife wore hers out (asics gr4) in a few months. I emailed a pic, they said it looks like they qualify. I send them in and in a few very short days, shes got a new pair.
My gr4's that I bought locally - wore through the sole. Took them in, they said they will send to asics for me, but cant replace them until they get approval and such from asics. its been about 2 weeks now. Im sure they will replace (its a hole in the sole) but the turn around doesnt seem too great compared to TW. (days vs weeks now). TW basically did an instant swap, whereas at my local store, I ended up buying a pair of nike breathe 2k12 ($89) to wear while they return the asics.
wife bought a new pair of gr4s to use while hers were being swapped. so she wearing her local store bought ones (which have a warranty) and the new TW asics are in the closet. I assume she will wear out the store boughts and when they go back, she can use the new TW asics.
Anyways, seems like a lot of hoopla for shoes...but TW sure was great to deal with and handled the swap very quick/efficient.
its my understanding that the new warranty replaced shoes dont have a warranty, so she is not missing anything by letting them sit in the closet a few months while she wears out the other ones she bought (that are under warranty).
That's the routine! I've been doing it for about 2-3 years now and have gotten some cool replacement shoes!
what do you guys think about these barricade 6's the hole looks kinda weird
^^^ that would probably be excepted, but I would wear them longer unless the warranty is almost up, you could probably get at least another month depending on how often you play and how aggressive your footwork is. Welcome to TT by the way.
ok the reason i want to send them in is because im growing and there cramming my foot but i dont want to waste time and money so maybe il deal with it a little longer
thanks by the way
In that case, send em' in!
Is this a bit of a stretch? The top layer is clearly worn through and my socks get wet when I step in wet grass.
I can see midsole so it's okay to send it but you can wear a few times at hard courts though.
What do you think? Warranty expires 11/18 so I need to decide how much I need to wear these day-to-day.
That large off-white looking part looks like the midsole so I'd say you're good to go
It's good enough for the warranty.
Okay, thanks. Just wanted to make sure because on the card it does say that that "exposure of other colors of rubber or the midsole does not qualify for the warranty" but I have seen a bunch of pictures where midsole warranty did get the voucher...
I posted this a few days ago, but just now realized I put it in the wrong thread. What an idiot I am. Anyway...
No actual photos, but two weeks ago I sent in my pair of Head Prestige IIs:
They had worn a hole through the toe, just above the sole. I wasn't sure if that qualified for replacement seeing as how I didn't wear the sole, but the material above, but I sent them in anyway. Got home this evening and there was a package on the porch containing a new pair of these:
I'm actually quite happy they sent the Speed Pro Lite as I was considering them, but people didn't seem to like the way they fit. Reviewers were saying they were wide. Well, maybe I have goofy feet, but the 10.5s they sent fit perfect.
This was my first warranty attempt from Head, by the way, and I'm pleasantly surprised.
There's a lot of conflicting information on the boards about sending in Nike/Adidas shoes for the 6 month guarantee . I've seen posts saying that Adidas shoes MUST be sent back to Adidas but Nike shoes can be sent back to TW? True?
TW's customer service page says to ship them back to Nike HQ.
6 weeks left on these, reckon i'll get them replaced?

I think it will be fine because of the heel area.
Spoke to the Asics shop I bought them from and they said they'd only look at them if they were defective, so I phoned Asics. The customer services manager said they don't offer a six month warranty as such but told the shop to do an inspection to see if the level of wear is commensurate with how often I wear them and how long I've had them. Don't think this is going to be straightforward.
there are differences with various countries IMO.
they do the 6 months service only in US.
in other countries it's not an "official offer".
check the TW Europe site. no 6 months warranty.
costumer service is best at US
hey recently i was talking to a friend and he said he never even pays for nikes anymore? he bought the shoes once and even though the 6 month only goes once he says he sends the shoes back with the receipt and they send him another 125 nike card? how is that possible if it shows you used the 125 nike card on the receipt? thanks
Yeah i went to an adidas shop yesterday and bought some barricade 7's and i asked them if it comes with a 6 month durability warranty and they said no. But how come in TW or other online stores give 6 month warranty's? But atleast the barricade 7's have good durability
It's just typical answer from emloyees who have no clue on their products haha.
Adidas will offer 6 month outsole warranty when you buy the B7 from their outlet store. You only need a receipt. Adidas has more strick rules regarding on the warranty, Since they keep your information.
He might lie to you haha. it might be possible because of dumb nike employees or their system.
anyone try to abuse these warranty programs, shoe companies will stop offering warranty programs. It's like more ethical matter from people who claim the warranty. I feel that abusing this warranty program and stealing is same.
I did buy it from the adidas outlet store and i do have the receipt so what your saying is i do have a 6 month warranty aslong as i have that receipt?
