Actually, Kiteboard has seen me hit numerous times 5 years ago, and I hit with him once then, maybe 8 minutes...but he doesn't remember. He hit a score of serves and volleyed a score of winners. I was stiff after having played for 3 hours, and sitting down for 45 minutes. It was foggy/cloudy, temps around 60.
Try Focus42. We played a two setter.
Do you guys really think my form is soooo bad if A level players, both men and women, asked me to serve to them in the late '70's?
Do you guys really believe I'm such a klutz if I went regularly 2/4 rounds in A/Open events around SanFrancisco?
    OK, maybe yes.

LeeD is 61 years old, let him relive his past.
If I was lying about it, I'd tell you I was much better.

I actually have a conspiracy theory that LeeD, Kiteboard, and ATP100 are all the same guy.

So all of them. Plus maybe the guys who are teachers like Papa, Orangepower, Bungalow Bill

Ha, ha. I just did a job with LeeD. He helped a lot. Got me the job in the first place. No I don't remember, but you don't have to be a great player to know a lot about great playing. I'd like to see a video of me and crispy fritters playing a match. Great players coaching are rare, due to the fact that great players are rare. Almost all coaches never even made it to 5.0 level. Lee says he did. I played many top 5.0 players and beat some of them in tourny matches, but I'd also lose to the number 40 guy in norcal, after beating the number 1 guy.

Good thread. I want to see Dozu swing the magic pill and Kiteboard's serve through the Sampras serve sequence. And of course, that wild and crazy little chinese man, LeeD doing anything.

I think everybody should post a vid and put the URL in the signature..... you know what, why don't we turn this thread into 'me hitting' thread, so we have a collection of 'who's who' and 'who hits how'.

    It will be interesting.

it would be an honor playing you. your kps baseball bat and my over power tweener doing battle on a fast indoor court. :) although, IIRC you are about a 5.0+ who plays on a traveling college team? do i start at 40-love :D

T1000 and jonnys&v would be cool since he is a far better serve and vollyer. but i want to see Lee and Kiteboard because im just curious on how they play. Lee a former high end amateur and kiteboard a top 50's player in norcal. plus i want to see his h22's. i would also like to see traveljam with his super leaded up frames.

Haha either would be awesome, I love playing another serve and volleyer since we all know whats coming, its just whos better at that game. I also would want to see Clint Thompson vs TonLars. I would want to play either of them too, just to see the difference in level since TonLars has beaten ranked ATP players and Clint is/was ranked

JohnnyS&V and I should have video'd our hit last month - it was a LOT of short points - I was serving big and couldn't return to save my life. The courts we were on were pretty rough, and the balls we were using were shot after 45 minutes.

But with people much much shorter. ;)

He's a very strong player - he said he was a bit out of practice, and I was still working my tail off when we were rallying.

I can tell you exactly what TonLars forehand is like, from personal experience!

    It is:

    1. Deep
    2. Spinning like a gyroscope
    3. Moved around the court with complete freedom and precision
    5. Bounding (and I do mean 'bounding'!!) up and off the court upon bouncing
    6. Feels like a hunk of lead on your frame
    7. Unrelenting in its consistency.

Yep. That pretty much sums it up! :)

    Happy Holidays,

    BHBH

tfm never paid up. His hours at Jack in the Box got cut after they eliminated their breakfast menu.

J011y won a very coveted open tourney recently.

I don't think anyone congratulated him in public so I'll be the first.

He is. I saw him last week in San Pablo, ca. Looks like a tall, skinny yoda, with long hair and normal ears! Hey TonLars, let's play if you want to visit SF sometime.
