Haha. I'm not trying to argue or anything, I'm just interested. You must have been a pretty darn good player to hang in there with a top 50 woman.

I didn't take it badly/offensively. But thanks for the kind words anyway. :) Best, BHBH

Oh, and in some ways I actually prefer watching women's tennis. It's easier to see the strategy that is happening (and strategy enters into it more, which I like) Best, BHBH

I have no idea. I do play in a 4.5+ league but the numbers up here in Canada mean diddly squat. LeeD once rated me a low 3.0 so let's go by that heheh. I also played college tennis but compared to the states I don't have a clue.

I do hit with best players at my club who are also mostly former college players. Were all old warriors heheh. I've clocked my serve at 110 but that's my best.

Anyhow, I'm hitting with my fiancé in this vid. I just feel weird pulling out a camera when hitting with my buds. It's like some bad tennis reality tv show.

no... hunter has no idea lol (hunter, me just kidding, you know that).... the guy's got no swing flaws, everything flows with good rhythm... strokes alone look a lot better than the guys in that infamous 'shirtless video'..

and LeeD short changed you there with the 3.0..... even me with those light hitting video got a 3.5 lolol.

Lol, that's why I chose those pairs. Judging by TT posts all of those would be epic matches to my feeble high school eyes.

Even with the best women, there is a 8% diff. in speed and power compared to a top grade man. If you play a guy that you are 10% better than, you always win the match. He can never overcome that spread. So I would not doubt Toni could win the match, if he played and moved well.

Hah, one of my players works for Sony Music and we were headed out to a match at NTC and he had these tunes playing that were total old schoolish Marvin Gaye, really amazing stuff. I asked him who it was and he said the guy behind Toni Tony Tone (forgot his name).

So, he said Sony bugs him to write more hits in the TTT style but he refuses. So he writes hits for everyone else but only releases music he wants under his own name. Integrity. The guy is one amazing song writer.

And oh, Clijsters would destroy Toni. Yes, destroy. Don't be delusional guys. Clijsters is a monster. Toni could not keep up with her in the slightest. None of us could. Not even LeeD. LoL.

I do think J011y would hold serve against her but definitely not Tonee.

I believe that is your (and some members') opinion, no proof to it...
As Hunter pointed out -- we have not seen a competitive match of that sort and can only speculate on the outcome.
Yep, guys are stronger and faster, Dent was stronger than Davidenko and had no chance against him (as an example, I am not sure if that is a real case)...
I am not sure that the bottom ATP player would walk over Serena, Kim, etc...

Clijsters and Tony Tony Tony would be a good match. She moves better
than many of the other WTA players and has a decent serve and power.

Plus if she painted herself green, she could distract Tony.

Patty Schnyder beat an ATP player in 2003.

    http://www.wtatour.com/player/patty-schnyder_2257889_7693/0,,12781,00.html

    Under Awards

    - World-ranked No.15, d. No.1 Austrian regional champion Patrick Mayr before a sold-out crowd of 1,500 during Battle of the Sexes match held in Austria; Mayr’s ATP ranking was No.1162.
(*reported 7-6, 7-5 on other sites)

So what rating should a 1162 player be considered?

    from the observer and Karsten-

Preparation is crucial. Remember that a game like this is light-hearted - taking it too seriously would be a mistake. My training regime consisted of a leisurely round of golf in the morning followed by a couple of shandies. I turned up on court feeling suitably laid-back.

My first game of the afternoon, just a one-set match, was against Serena. A hint: try and play your match somewhere quiet, where you're not going to be pestered by big crowds or lots of press - we were out on one of the back courts at Melbourne Park, No 17 I think it was. I felt so relaxed that I didn't even warm up properly. We started playing and I raced into a 5-0 lead.

At this point Venus turned up to watch. She had just finished a press conference after a quarter-final loss against Lindsey Davenport. In the end I won my game against Serena 6-1 but by the time we were at the net shaking hands, Venus was on court, ready to have a go against me as well. The game against Venus was very similar. I ended up winning 6-2.

Both sisters are great tennis players and hit the ball extremely well. However, if you've been playing on the men's tour there are certain shots you can play that are going to put them in difficulty. Try and put a lot spin on the ball - I was hitting the ball with a degree of spin they don't face week-in, week-out. Another key is to chase down every shot. In our match, they were putting shots into the corners that on the women's tour would be winners but I was able to return them.

I looked up Mayr and around the lost to Snyder, he had also beat a couple
guys ranked in the ~300's, like Andreas Seppi and some other guys ranked
    in the 100's...

Personally, I'd like to see videos of some older guys hit or newer players. To make a sweeping statement, it seems like I see a lot of videos on here of college players asking "how do I hit"... when they clearly have only tweaks needed in their game.

FYB had a great video of a guy who literally had been playing for three months. It was great to watch and learn from.

I'd like to see more videos of anybody over 50 and anybody who had played in less than a year.

I got 4 games off of Chang when I was 11 at SCTA sectionals, does this make me a 5.5? I guess that means I could have gone to the 3rd round at the FO if I got 4 games off him 6 years before he won the FO.

My sister met Seal at the LA Open this year, does this mean I made love to Heidi Klum?

Haha nice try Joel troll! My friend who im relatively even with, played Hingis while she was in her pro career, and as said often won sets (while your examples dont make sense). Besides that numerous accounts from others of college and good men beating top women. Of course not to say it isnt close or they cant lose, but we are capable of winning is the point and comparison. Obviously again Clijsters has accomplished an uncomparable amount to me, is much better trained and is probably much more talented, but id guess we could have a good match simply because I have a few advantages genetically.

Where are the pictures? Youre a witty troll who has chosen Jo11y as the impetus for your games on here. Good to see youre having fun though, I do like your sense of humor but disappointed that youre trying to rile me up. Its relatively easy to do but youre just too obvious for even me to get upset with:)

I was very naïve growing up in California but looking back now I realize why so many of my friends wanted to come over and watch my sister layout in our backyard pool area in her vast array of bikinis. I had no clue about the power female gonads but all my friends were keen to her giblets.

That said, I would not do my sister after Heidi. Yuck.

It appears that Tonlars and salvador JoelDali are at the opposite ends of the
spectrum in terms of the way they communicate on TW (and maybe in real
life, too?). It's like Captain America talking to The Joker.

Tony is a pure straight shooter who says exactly what he means.
    Sarcasm? Jokes? Whoosh!

JoelDali is like 99.9999999999999999999932344 % pure hyperbole.
