I'm curious why you want to change your forehand. Looks pretty darned good to me.

Nice serve motions for both guys, imho.

It would be fun to see videos from more posters.

Wow, really nice forehand imho. Thanks for posting. Must check out your thread.
How do you grip the racquet?

EDIT: Found your other threads. Lots of good stuff.

Thanks =), I´m still practicing to improve the defects on my forehand.
I think my grip is almost full western, or between semi and full.
I´m trying to hit a little bit flatter because my shots often land short and high, also I get tired because I have to swing harder.
You see how little effort my hitting partner uses, and his shot comes at
good pace, I want to have both , spinny high and also a more agressive lower
    trajectory shot.

Looks good. That forehand has potential. As it is now w/ issues... so-so.

You have several easy to fix issues.
Elbow is way way too close to the body. It's scraping against your ribs. Loss of power and variability on shots.
Not loading enough weight on right leg. Loss of power.
Weight not getting into/thru the ball. That should/might go away when you fix elbow problem and you'll be able to feel it (weight transfer) better.
Listen to the difference in sound between your hits and your partner's.

Nice swing and good setup. If you fix those issues your swing will be pretty nice. and pretty.

Last time I checked Nadal had a bicep and Fred has a couple of kids to look after. Biceps and kids are hard work dude.

Stop it mate, you're killing me! Alright, I am re-posting an oldie of me before TE completely took hold. Now I am using an old Instinct I can lift and in the process of changing again ( probably to a Pacific).

    Anyway, here it is:

Just copy and paste. Should work ok.

The only reason was my elbow, purely and simply. I was hoping that perhaps with more modern abbreviated stroke I could ease the load from it but more I try, I keep finding it has no significant effect on my elbow, so now I decided to simplify it by only worrying about holding my racket with both hands while turning shoulders. That's it, otherwise there's too many things floating in my mind. It's shaping up slowly but it takes time. I also find I can create more power with less effort.

Thanks Cheetah, that´s exactly what my coach tells me. I also know it but muscle memory is hard to reset, just repetition repetition a more repetition will fix it.
I also know by the sound of the stroke when I´m doing the right technique.
I think I´m slowly improving, there is difference with my firsts videos and this one so I´m optimistic.

    Check out my serve!

I know: Low toss, really wide platform stance, and elbow is a bit too close to the body, but other then that I think it's all right! Also, don't mind how far away I am from the baseline, I don't know why I started doing that...

Do you think you could get more power if you relaxed your wrist, ALLOW the racket to do it's loop from trophy, and not force a pre laid back wrist?
You seem to almost lay your wrist back almost pancake, or like a girl's forehand stroke.
Look at Roddick serve vids. He almost never bends his wrist back, but allows that start loop to do it for you.

Yes, your stance looks really wide, like the one many pros use but take a step forward before hitting the ball. Another thing is that your tossing arm could be
more vertical ( IMHO ), you look like you are going to throw a football.

Great! Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely try to get my toss arm to more vertical. My coach taught me this serve by throwing a football actually, it's interesting you caught that!

Do you think there is a disadvantage to the extra-wide stance? I definitely have to take that step forward though, no questions asked.

I'm not sure what you mean sorry. During which part of the serve is my wrist laid back more than normal?

Fuji, slide your right foot forward a bit during your motion...create a knee bend and move upward into the ball. More pop for sure.

Do you mean more of a knee bend on my left (front) knee? I know my back knee does like 95% of the bending off my serve. I can see how that would create a lot more free power for sure. I'll definitely try it out! Thanks for the tip!

I also think it has to do with my low toss. It doesn't give me a lot of time to really bend/explode into the ball.

We live in the same city, you can see a live viewing. :)

PVAudio has posted a number of videos. I may post one someday. I don't really think about videotaping myself unless something is wrong with my technique and I certainly don't want to post those videos.
