I swear Babolat Addiction has more power than Excel (regular). I would have thought the Excel had more power.

Or maybe not? Because there are two Excel's? Comfort and Power?

What's everyone else's experience with these two in 16g?

I used Xcel Premium which I'm guessing is renamed to Comfort because it is one of the softest multis out there. Addiction is one of the stiffest and probably has a slight edge in power.

That makes sense. I may try addiction mains with excel crosses.

Addiction is definitely more powerful than XCel. I only used Addiction once, but it was way to powerful and unpredictable. I use XCel when I can't get my normal strings and it is much more tame and predictable.

Note that the real difference between the two can be compensated for in tension. Whereas you might need 60lbs. to control Addiction, you can probably get away with 54 lbs. with XCel.

I don't know but should find that out. I guess it should have the power of addiction, but with the comfort of excel.

But addiction is pretty comfy to me, not like excel but still pretty good. I string at 45 or 46 lbs so they all feel pretty comfortable to me.

Excel power must be softer than addiction though...that's what would make the excel power 'special'.

I have to order a set and see what's up. I think I'd save money and get the same result by doing excel comfort/addiction hybrid though.
