How much more powerful is the Pure Drive Plus? If I dropped the tension to about 54lbs as compared to 59 lbs in the Pure Drive Plus, would they be pretty comparable (both with the same string and both rackets in stock form)?

Thanks in advance...any responses are appreciated.

i wouldnt drop the tension on the PD at all, or else everything will sail, PD+ gives you power but you still need some bite on the shots and thats what thinner strings at a higher tension will give you. It already has more power than the N6-1 in my opinion.

I meant dropping the tension on the 6.1's to 54 to get close to the power level of the Pure Drive Plus.

o, i wouldnt do that still but thats just me and im a big hitter. but from what i have heard the n6.1 needs to be strung at a higher tension to be effective.

I am only interested in the power levels of the repected rackets under the given circumstances.

if you hit w/ alot of spin, i'd say they'd prolly be comparable, but if you hit flatter balls, may have to drop the 6.1 a bit more (maybe to 50).

What do you mean how much more powerful is the PD. The 6.1 is a freakin players racket and the PD is a tweener. Now think about it. And also if you drop it to 54 I hope your control and mechanics are great.

Personally, I feel the Wilson nSix-One 95 is a lot more powerful on the driving forehands but lacks power then it comes to topspin forehands. The Babolat Pure Drive + is a lot more powerful when it comes to topspin forehands.

Serves. I'd say the Wilson nSix-One 95 is really good for kicker serves with lots of kick and power but doesn't compare to the Babolat Pure Drive + when it comes to Flat Serves.

Backhands. I the Wilson nSix-One 95 has a lot of power behind it on the onehanded backhand driving shot. The Babolat Pure Drive Plus is better for the topspin one handed backhand shot.

Two handed backhands, taking it out of the air the Babolat Pure Drive just takes it when it comes to power. Off the ground, the Wilson nSix-One 95 takes the cake,

Thanks guys for all the input. I think I am going to start right at 54lbs when I get my 6.1 95 and go from there...hopefully I will be able to swing relaxed with the weight and still generate all the power I need. I might go down from there if it is still not enough.

    ANDY where is your MOJO?

So Andy is playing with a tweener racquet then. Maybe that's why he keeps losing espeically to Federer. Don't get me wrong I like Andy and I pull for him everytime he plays but believe me, I am beginging to lose interest (espeically after last night) in him in favor of Federer, Hewitt, and Nadal as far as overall worldclass players. As far as the Americans I gotta Aggasi for as long as he can hold his own, then Dent, Blake, Gineperi, and Fish trailing behind him. However, the way Blake has been playing the last few tournaments, we might have a new American leader.
