This has really been a stupid tournament. 1st round, I along with others took Llodra in a rational 15 pt upset over Stepanek. But Stepanek pulls out and that match is voided. Ok so you think Llodra will lose now, but no, he beats Isner. Meanwhile I correctly chose Janowicz to beat Cilic since Cilic is Cilic, but no way he gets any further. Only he beats Murray and Tips and gets to the SF. Ridiculous.

If he beats Simon and I somehow fall out of the top 8 of the season I'll be seriously pissed off for eternity.

It's end of the season madness. Some guys showed up to play this event, while others just didn't. Don't forget Djokovic bageled Querrey in a 23 minute opening set and then went on to lose the match to him, which is just beyond outrageous. Then the next day Murray serves for the match and has a match point on Janowicz and somehow loses that match...

The Djoker/Querrey result wasn't even that bad by how ridiculous the other results have been that tourney. At least Querrey has game - but of couse he just lost to Llodra, a further indication of how ridiculous this tourney has been. Here's to predictable results the rest of the way and at least Ferrer hopefully getting his first MS title.

Jerszy Janowicz, who lost to Dennis Novikov at the US Open, is in a Masters final. Is this real life?

I only went to the well once, of course. :? Alas, picking Ferrer wouldn't have moved me up in the rankings at all.

The Top Ten: Overall Rankings & Race

    • Congrats to FEDERERNADAL13 on winning the Bercy PPL tournament, his first PPL win ever! Great job by joeri888 and dcdoorknob for finishing second and third respectively!
    • In the overall rankings, dcdoorknob and 24*7 Tennis swap spots as do St. Bernard and Locotus. On the back end of the top ten, joeri888 and TopDawg jump into the seventh and eighth spots dropping seffina and stringertom to ninth and tenth.
    • In the race, the order is exactly the same as the overall rankings with just the top three, robin7, dcdoorknob, and 24*7 Tennis defending London WTF points the rest of the way.

    Qualified for WTF PPL:
    1. robin7
    2. dcdoorknob
    3. 24*7 Tennis
    4. St. Bernard
    5. Locotus
    6. jamesblakefan#1
    7. joeri888
    8. TopDawg

The two alternates, in case someone does not begin making their picks by first match tomorrow are seffina/stringertom.

    • Thank you to Jay, TopDawg, and seffi for their help throughout the tournament.
    • Thank you to everybody for participating! Regular PPL tournaments will be back in the new year with the combined Brisbane/Doha event. If you qualified for the WTF PPL tournament, please confirm your presence in the WTF PPL thread.
