Congrats! It's scary, yes, but one of the most exciting things you may ever do. I founded and ran my own company (unrelated to tennis) for 8 years. Some of the best times in my career. Good luck!

Ga: We've been to many Academies. You seem like too honest and decent a fellow to run an Academy. I always thought I could run an Academy if I would just go to the tanning salon, dye my hair, and whiten my teeth. Seriously best of luck.

I have a solid tennis tan, and good teeth, but I can't bring myself to get the Macci Rug, my shaved head just doesn't match up with the high pitched, fast talking, car salesm...... um academy director.

Good luck gatennis. Proud of you being brave and following your dreams. One day I might be so fortunate to get up as much courage as you. Best wishes to you and can't wait to hear about it and see the website.

Is this a tennis academy inside an existing club (which is basically just a bigger coaching outfit) or are you going to be owning the facilities too?

Ga...I applaud you for following your passion and taking a risk in starting your Academy. You need to do it or you will have regrets. Good luck to you!

Goodness this is a big change for you. Plus you do not live that far from me and we still need to get our kids together to hit. Last time it fell apart somehow.... I will see you at the bullfrog this weekend.

TCF -- First of all please know that I'm not singling you out, but what exactly constitutes a "tennis academy?" I think it's one of the most overused and abused labels in junior tennis.
