Most people if the prestretch wrap the machine around a door handle. They walk the string out the entire distance and gently pull, I have seen some stringers wrap around their waste and "lean back"...

I only prestretch gut, and that is more out of habit. What ever you do, pick a method and stick to it...

I think he means wrap the string around the door handle and gently pull. Not really sure, though would love to know which types of string it is recommended for and the proper way to do it.

I do it with the top end multi's, Biphase, excel, gamma pro, fxp etc. I generally tie one end to the door handle and then just get the other end and give it a few tugs and hold tension on it for a few seconds. no need to use your machine.

Strings then dont need as much break in period and the initial tension loss is diminished.

I don't really believe in prestretching anything but gut, i feel its a waste of time. Though it does make the stringbed more concistent for some strings.
