I just ordered a new Prestige S online for a solid price, but jumped before having patience to return current TW demos & wait for the S demo to show up.

This being said, I placed order this morning, & local club JUST received their new Blade demos, so I took the 16x19 for a spin this afternoon.

Of course, to no surprise at all, I immediately clicked w the Blade at the level you cannot even expect when 'trying' a frame--- it was PERFECT in every way for me & clearly THE stick.

I've noticed the recent Racquet Feedback trend classifying every stick w either 'Pure Drive power' or unable to deliver the ball across net, w Blade 16x19 in the PD column, but I do not consider the Blade in same ball park as PD at all-- just a solid stiffer frame.

Just want to know if these sticks play at least similar, or time to prepare for the standard new racquet purchase letdown, and face reality that exciting is now squeezing half of my 'solid price' back in resale after hitting balls for an hour.

Thanks for any help as always & happy holidays!!

I currently have the Blade16x19 and am really enjoying the comfort and great feel. I also played with the S and thought it was a very nice racquet too. The killer for me is the shape of the grip on the Head. If not for the grip shape, i would have kept the S.

I've never used head frames. I settled on the blade 98 18x20 after demoing both new blade versions. It is hands down the most comfortable playing frame I've ever played with.

Somewhat bizarrely there are those they say the new blades are comfortable and others so stiff they stop playing with them.

    Difference is probably the strings.

Thanks for this encouragement, along w all thread contributions-- I unfortunately also despise the rectangular/ round Head grip myself.....

I've gone ahead & ordered the Blade as well, to at least ensure I am not left without a 'primary' stick if the Prestige S does not work out-- recently mailed the racket-aholic collection in to Trade In program, bc WAY too indecisive about frames, & it's KILLING my confidence / development.....

So now I will give Prestige S a legitimate Playtest to determine my choice, & not even unpackage Blade unless I firmly decide against the Prestige.........

Thanks & I welcome and appreciate all additional comments

I'd also like to know the thoughts of anyone who has played with both. I'm currently playing with the Prestige S(gut/poly). I'd like to try the Blade 16X19, but was somewhat concerned that it is only 1HL. With a higher
SW, is it easy to get enough racquet head speed? On a similar note, was also going to look at the regular new Steam 99(not S). Any thoughts on those that can compare to the Prestige S are appreciated. I did try the new Head Graphene MP, and it was strung with full bed poly. The racquet swung great, but hard to get depth on my shots. This was also note by parasailing in another thread.

The blade is stiff if you don't use softer strings on it such as gut/poly and even then, you have to find a softer poly.

As far as balance, I added a good amount of lead to the handle to get it closer to 3pts HL.
