What is the difference between them? Which one is older ?

Then what is the difference between them and I. Prestige Mid and Liquidmetal Mid ?

    Any specialists in Prestiges?

Although, these racquets were sold when I was around four or five years old, I think the name "Prestige Classic" and "Prestige Tour" came out at the same time. Prestige Classic was the reincarnation of the already popular Prestige Pro and the silver and green Prestige 600. The Prestige Tour is the same Prestige, but with a vibration dampening grip called "Suspension Grip", which is a grip that has a red rubber piece suspended by four other yellow rubber pieces that is connected to the graphite.

The i.Prestige, according to some people, are stiff like the Pro Staff Midsize, while the LiquidMetal Prestige is flexible, and supposedly similar to the Pretige Classic.

P.S. The only Prestige racquets that I have hit with to understand the feel is the LiquidMetal Prestige Mid.

    Swan, thank you.

But according to TW the stiffness of all 4 frames is the following: LiquidM = 61, Intelligence = 60, Tour = 58, Classic = 60.

I have hitted with all of them and I am still stucked with Prestige Classic.

    From my feeling:

    Stiffness i.prestige > LM Prestige=Prestige Classic > Prestige Tour

The intellifibre of i.prestige will stiffen on sudden impact(like when you are hitting hard). But the stiffness measuring machine will just bend the racket gradually then you will get a relatively lower reading for i.prestige.

    MRG,

does it mean that Liquidmetal technology doesn't use intelli-fibers ? I thought that it is extension of the preceding technology. At least they wrote that material consist of piezzo electric fibers.

I don't really know the details of piezzo electric fibers application on LM rackets. When I play the LM Pretige, what I feel is that the stiffness, balance and weight are quite similar to Prestige Classic. Both LM and Classic hold the balls during impact very well.

But the feedback from Prestige Classic is a bit more solid and direct. Thats one the the reasons why I still prefer it over LM.

MRG you described it perfectly ! Why Head dumped it and why you got "hunt" then down or have TW contract to make a batch is beyond me.

Sometime it is not accurate, because another possible reason that contributed to the different in stiffness of the frame is the "Time factor". As time passed by, the material in the racquet weaken/soften. Another words, after years of continuous playin with the racquets, the graphite subtance fatique and soften. That's why when you play & compare various version of Prestige released in different era, you'll get a different feel for each racquet. The older one will tend to be softer than the newly produced.

The best way to compare all of the previous released version, is to try all of them New and un-touch. : )

Its just my 2 cents. Cheers!

I tested all of them in brand new condition but not at the same time.

I still got a few brand new Prestige Classic. 8-P
I bought I.prestige mid but don't really like it and now it is with my wife now
I used to play with the Prestige Tour for 1 year before switching to PBP then to Prestige Classic.
LM Prestige is borrowed from my pal who play with me almost every week.

Intellifiber, schmellifiber, what a load of horse manure, show me how it works and I'll maybe believe it, just like all the other b.s. racquet companies come up with. Liquid Metal, Titanium, it's all a bunch of hooey!

    HAHHAHAHAHA

Hi Aykhan, it was my wife's idea to let her use the i.prestige mid for several reasons.

    It is relatively lighter.
It is powerful enough for her(though she is already a hard hitter as a lady).
And most important of all, the i.prestige looks cool!

Any particular reasons why you prefer the Classic over the Tour? Just curious.

Both Tour and Classic are nice rackets and actually quite similar to each other. Tour is a bit softer to play with but I don't really mind that. It is just the feel from tour is too much filtered when comparing with Classic. I did even try to replace the grip of Tour to Leather grip but it is just not the same as Classic.

PT feels softer, more flexy than the PC but now believe Head is stiffening the racquethead, hoop with every new generation. LM Prestige actually felt a bit like the Ti series.

I believe that the LM Prestige has the Intellifibre technology as well. Not sure why the i feels stiffer than the LM. ??
