    Which version of prestige ?

Anyway, I have FXP Prestige MidPlus

#1: Wilson Extreme Synthetic Gut 16g at 57 lbs - very nice
#2: mains: Babolat Tonic+ 16g at 60 lbs, cross: Ashaway Liberty 16g at 58 lbs ---> unreal, my first natural gut trial, fantastico

These are constant pull tension, roughly the tension when clamped off...

Results: I like.. It has kind of a dampened feel and makes an extremely weird sound when hitting without a vibration dampener. Very good overall in all categories.

I modify my racquets much more these days by varying strings and string tension--I don't use lead tape anymore. Contrary to what some may think competitve players do not have just one set up for their racquets. I will vary the string gauge, type of string, and string tension depending on the the conditions under which I will be playing. Weather, court surface, indoor vs. outdoor, altitude, etc. are all factors that come into consideration when I string my racquets.

    My current Prestige setups:
    • Flexpoint Prestige MP #1: Technifibre Spinfire 17 @ 56lbs
    • Flexpoint Prestige MP #2: Kirschbaum Touch Turbo 17 @ 56 lbs
    • [Liquidmetal Prestige MP: Head Ultra Tour (Blue) 17 @ 51 lbs
    Comments on the strings:
    • Spinfire - feels really dead right from the start, even after 1.5 hrs of play. I'll give it another go as it probably needs to be broken in more thoroughly
    • Touch Turbo - superior playability and crispness but loses tension more quickly than my current fave, the P2. Strings move around like syn gut after losing tension
    • Ultra Tour - a dream when strung on the LMP, haven't tried it the FXP, though. Lost tension even more quickly than the Turbo

    gotta be kilos...

As for setup, I like Tonic or VS 17 for mains with Gosen Super Micro 17 for crosses at 53 lbs on the PC600.

I like the same setup in the FXP Prestige Midplus at 60 lbs.

Very crisp setup, easy on the arm and holds tension for almost 2 or 3 months depending on how often you hit!

On my LM Midpluses, I've got:

    1. SPPP 17L/Head FiberGel Power (58/61) - I think the FiberGel has made the stringbed a little softer than I'd like, but the control is there. I'm going to try SPPP with TNT 17 next.

    2. Head FXP Control 17 (62) - My oldest string job (3 months). Soft string, doesn't have the bite that I like from my string, but it feels great on the elbow.

    3. Gamma Revelation 17 (60) - I dunno. I loved this string in my iRadical OS, but it just feels kind of "tinny" in my Prestige. I've hit with it once, it's getting cut out before the weekend.
