Hey guys. Have you heard about the new Prince 6000? It builds on the 5000, but with a 6 point mounting system. I guess it gives all the Star 5 guys that didn't like 2 points something new to think about ;).

That is probably the most beautiful machine i have ever seen. Does any one know how much it cost, hopefully under $400 dollars so I can get it.

Try $3800. But I'd prefer $400 as well.

Thanks for posting the link iplay...I just saw it in the 2009 catalog and didn't realize it was online. From what I've heard, the 5000's major weakness was mounting the frame/adjusting for the length of the racquet head. A fellow pro/stringer said that it took him a while to figure out how to do it proficiently. I haven't strung on the 5000 so I don't know how big a deal it really is. It looks like the new 6 point will address that issue. What do you think iplay? Does the 5000 have said issue with mounting?

the turn table is identical to that of the 3000, and it is one of the strengths imho, but i am used to it

    Thanks iplay.

Do you know if Poreex makes it? The turntable and mounting system look VERY similar to my SAM Pro-Master (which is the same as the pre-Bairdo Wilson machines). The diablo and tension head look identical as well - with the white plastic lever (for pulling tension) right on the back of the tension head.

    Nice lookin' machine!

    Take care.

You are correct David, the machine is not much different than what you have. The table and mounting is identical, tension head and lever looks the same, I'm sure there is not a great # of manufactures of these parts, and probably one guy has the dies, and fabricates parts for the masses.
BTW it is a good looking machine, just like yours:)

That machine is very pretty. I love the whole see through idea! Plus, it seems to be very well equipped.

Then why are you still reading and closely examining such an old thread? Just because you don't know enough to comment on any thread that actually might need advice doesn't mean need to clutter up other threads with useless your useless comments.
