Prince Phantom Pro 93p swingweight?

Hi guys. I just purchased a Phantom 93p from TW. I was expecting to see a swingweight of 330 on the racquet as shown in the specs for the racquet on TW. However, the racquet i received shows 300. What is the swingweight?
I stung 2 rackets for a client and they were way under specs. As a matter of fact there was no way to build the SW up to 328 spec and maintains the spec weight and balance. I think they just had oddball racket(s) or they made a mistake measuring them.

EDIT: Maybe @TW Staff needs to revisit the specs on these rackets.

I trade with another seller and it came strung with a Hyper G. The jury is still out on it. I will hit with it a few more sessions and review it here.

I found the same thing with my 93p's. Both around 320 swingweight. Had to put lead on both to bring them up to 330 SW.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts... I just hope the Hyper-G doesn't saw through the Power Fibre II too quickly.
Just hit briefly with this setup this morning. It felt good - still too lively for me I think though. I think I will try full bed of Hyper G 18g at 50lbs. Really like the feel of the ball on the racquet face longer. I think full poly will allow for that.

thanks! Yeah this racquet really shines as a doubles racquet and for the pace hitting back and forth. Singles has been quite difficult tho.

Will be trying RPM Pros Pro copy 18g today.
Heck, I meant to say very good playing. Freakin autocorrect (my kids got into my phone and messed with it) lol

I was playing well with my Phantom Pro 93P (Modified with weight at 3&9, 7" from butt cap, overgrip, and rubberband dampener), but wanted to see if things would get even better with a bit of weight at 12 o'clock (with counter-balance in the handle).

It all went sideways on me. First, the racquet felt much more head-heavy, less maneuverable, and the shots were much flatter and with less spin (I only added 1g at 12 o'clock and about 3g at 7"). Then I tried adding more weight into the butt-cap, and that helped make the racquet come through the ball better, but now it was just getting too heavy and cumbersome with an overall static weight of 374g.

I reversed all these mods and am back to my original mods with a small amount of weight at 3 & 9 o'clock matched with weight at 7", overgrip, and a rubber band.

Let's hope the magic returns, as I was able to hit with both lots of spin and flatten it out with the set up outlined above.

The lesson... when a racquet feels great... don't get greedy and try to make it better... leave it alone.

Just came back from the court. I had my Phantom strung at 49lbs on mains and 51lbs on crosses with Hyper G 18g. Still felt I could go tighter but I def lost oomph on my serve. I think I get what MarinaHighTennis is feeling...hmmm...

Also, I think I like the feel of Cyclone 18g better. Sux cause the green color of the HyperG looks so good on the Phantom. Thinking of stringing Cyclone 18g at 53lbs nxt.

Ah! That could be it! I think you need to try a thinner gauge just cause the 93P is so dense. I am planning on doing 18g on mine. You can try 18g at 46lbs or 17g though I would do 18g.
tried 18g 52lbs with pros pro strategem 8 (bab rpm copy) and it was great! I beat my 5.0 friend 6-3 6-4 and my FH placement and spin was on point. I was passing shots and hitting winners & extreme angles I couldn't do before. BH & volleys were all still good. Serve was solid but my friend did say they were weak but nobody really attacked off of it anyways in doubs or singles.

thanks for the tip im happy and feeling solid all round which hasnt happened in a long time

If I was you, and you haven't bought the Cyclone 18g yet, I'd try Cyclone 18L (1.15mm) in the Black/ Anthracite (not sure what they call the colour but it's black). It played amazingly well in my Fischer VT Pro 95 and I will be using it in lots of tight pattern racquets. It has a much higher spin rating, played very well, and had awesome power while my shots still landed inside the lines.

Just a thought. I'm going to try that in my 93P next @ 45-46 in the Mains and 42-43 in the Crosses. Obviously, you can try it at whatever tension you feel suits you.

Just an update on here: I strung my 93P with orange Cyclone 18g at 53lbs. It plays really well though I feel I need to give more on my one hander. I will prob go down to 52lbs next.

Not sure 1lb will make that much of a difference, and 52lbs is still pretty high for a poly in this frame. Honestly, I would go down to 50lbs and see how that feels.

Just wondering if you tried this setup you mentioned? How was it? I got 18L on me now and wondering what to string at? I bring my own power and hit pretty aggressive.

Many people string the 93P near the low 40’s. I strung my 93P with a 18G poly at 45lbs, and it feels like I could go even lower. There is no loss of control, just more power.

Big fast swing? No not really. I am decent 4.0 player in his mid 50s. I hit a decent paced ball but don't crush it. Power level is similar to full poly at around 40 in that frame. I love this racquet cuz you can string it so low and the ball stays in if you hit with spin and strings last a long time (at least for me).

Liking a full bed of Topspin Cyberflash 17 at 52 lbs. Comfy and great pocketing. Great depth especially on a longer relaxed strokes. I can really flatten but still have access to spins.

My usual hybrid is Volkl Cyclone 19/ Gosen OGSM 17 @ 53/50. The Topspin Cyberflash doesn't have the same pop off the stringbed or the crazy spin, and it feels like the swingweight is noticeably heavier. I do feel it is a much more predictable stringbed that produces more penetrating and heavier depth.

I haven't tried it yet as I strung up 4 of my Head Prestige Mids for their day in the sun. I will be trying it though. I have tried Hyper-G 1.15mm at 48M/45C and found it just a fraction firmer than I wanted (still comfortable but could be better). It took several hitting sessions before I felt like it was more to my liking. As @mhkeuns has said, it should be fine at 45M/42C as there is no loss of control and just addition of power.

I have full swings and strokes and produce the desired amounts of power and spin depending on what shot I'm trying to achieve.

I will post my impressions when I have tried the Cyclone 18L at 45M/42C.
