Hi, I'm in a bit of a pickle here... I've always been quite loyal to the Prince Precision line of racquets and have been using them for more than a decade now. I'm down to my last More Precision MidPlus (95sq in) and I can't buy them anymore. Not only has the model been discontinued, but I can't find stock for it.

I did a 'racquet finder' here on TW and the Pure Drive (yes that one) came up as a recommended replacement... so I got one of them as a spare/emergency stick. But oh my word! The feel is completely different. There is absolutely no resemblance... no similarity in balance, swing weight totally alien.

I'm not exactly moaning about it because in a recreation knock about, it was quite enjoyable, especially good net clearance when you are just blocking a return of serve. But I don't feel completely at home with the soft/cushiony ball impact.

So my question is... is there a racquet out there with the Precision's balance, swing weight and feel? I don't really want to go demoing 12 sticks. I know the question is a bit technical but I look forward to some responses and opinions. Cheers.

    Hi nunchuku,

Although they are not my mains, I have 3 precision responses (Ti, 660). I began playing tennis only in 2002 and these precisions came out before that. I guess I got them b/c they were Pat Rafter's racquet (actually 660). I wonder what is the status/niche/design concept of precision (response) line products among prince racquets? Designed as S&V sticks? Players racquet? Thanks,

    G.
