    Hi there,

anyone know which Prince racket this is?

    TC55A-93

I think 93 is the sq. head size. Racket has a Rebel paintjob.

I did a search here but couldn't find anything.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    n.

Racket has a paintjob that looks like a TT Rebel (blue/black/gold/white).

The code TC55A-93 is on the throat just above the grip pallet.

Above the code there's a graphic that says "Rebel Midsize 95"

I thought that the '93' in the code indicated headsize but it says '95' on the racket.

    Cheers,

That's interesting. There is a frame on the auction site that is similar. TC55A-93, and it's a 93 sq in frame with a Rebel paintjob.

I don't know much about Prince rackets, does the Diablo have the code printed on the throat?

When I was getting Wilson rackets the internal code for my racket was a four digit code 1157 or something like that. Maybe Prince has something similar?

    Cheers,

Yeah, the code is printed on the inside of the throat along with the specs for mine.

It might be a Precision Retro PJ'd as a TT Rebel?

The code for the Prince Retro is

    TC55A

It could be a Prince Retro with a 93 headsize?

Is the Retro stiffer than the Diablo?

if you saw it on the auction site, pretty sure it is a pj'ed precision retro. i think these came in 93" (capriati) and 100" (malisse). i don't think they came in 95". it's just that the paintjob for the rebel says that. i thought someone posted here that the diablo and the retro were the same racquet.

Ok, we finally figured out what the frame is: TC55 is the Prince code for the current Diablo Tour. At first it doesn't make sense; why would the Diablo Tour have a Rebel paintjob?
It makes sense because TC55 is also the code for the Prince Precision Retro. So the story is this:

Prince Precision Retro: TC55 (only sold in Europe)
Prince Precision Retro painted to look like the TT Rebel (Capriati / Malisse actual frame): TC55 A
Prince Precision Retro painted to look like the current Rebel Tour: TC55 D (Malisse actual frame)

Note that Malisse's rackets were longer.

So the current Diablo Tour is the original Precision Retro, they have the same specs: Weight, string pattern etc.

    Cheers,
    n.

i think the precision response had the double bridge in it and i dont think malisse ever had that paintjob on his retros. I dont think you can really fake that piece of rubber inside the racquet.
