    Hello TW,

Any updates on the availability of the new Prince sticks?

Perhaps more details on the pre-order?

Have you guys started testing them?

    Thanks.

    Sinner,

There will be pre-sale on Prince racquets on 10/1 with an in stock date of approximately 10/15. We are right about to start hitting them and are doing reviews of several of them.

There is another launch of racquets in early 2014.

Thanks for the quick reply, Brittany.

Can you say whether the Oct-launch will include all the sticks Prince showcased at their Prince-NYC popup store?

    Graphites, Response, etc.

    Thanks again.

You guys should do a demo weekend where people drive up, stay in a nearby hotel, take a tour of the place, and get to demo as many racquets as they want. Make it like a package deal. Reserve the racquets with string jobs, the room, and the courts, and let people do some serious shopping. Maybe a video for the website talking about how much they like their new stick and the team, and how happy they are with the service.

    You're welcome.

    Sinner,

For the October launch, the racquets that are being released are the Graphites, Response, and the ESP racquets.

On the topic of the new princes, I recently hit with them, and have pictures and a review, am I free to post that in the racquets section with pics?

I'd be interested in hearing more, if you don't mind.

Perhaps we can continue in the Prince-thread in "Racquets"?

Prince customer service tells me the Graphite is new cosmetics on the same old frame, for better or for worse, if that helps. He was less certain about the 100 sq.in. model but suggested it was also only a new cosmetic.

    Hey Brittany,
thx for the quick response. I was also wondering if you knew if prince was going to release matching bags for the tour esp...maybe in black and orange? I know maybe a couple of yrs ago they had a prince racket bag that was black/orange that seemed to go with the tours colors. thx again.

    sdplayer,

Yes, there looks to be some orange/black bags that will be releasing early next year as well around the same time as the racquets.

No sensible business announces price decreases ahead of time, as it deters current revenue.

If Prince had a sensible business then perhaps they would never have gone bankrupt. :)

Okay, the Response is GASing me hard... I looked at the Blade, but not HL enough. Looked at the Strike, but I find 18/20 meh. Now it's stiff/crisp, HL enough, and it seems has 16 mains. It had been extended length I would be hell bent for it. I have to refrain myself! Hope they DON'T come in Europe so my will doesn't shatter...

What gives? No pre-sale, no reviews up. What's going on with the new Prince racquets? Are the ESP & the Classics going to be delayed or just one of the lines?

    According to Chris,

Could be why we haven't seen the pre-sale yet.

There's no ill will toward Brittney or anyone at TW. I can't say the same for Prince. The ESP racquets have been out in other parts of the world for a while now. I've read they've been available to juniors for over a year. I've been a big supporter of Prince for a long time. Just impatiently waiting for quite a while.

    RollTrackTake,

Unfortunately, like Chris mentioned, the launch date has been pushed back a couple weeks. There is no specific date yet but I will update as soon as I find out more information.

Thanks for the update. I know these things happen often. I had to wait an extra month when the Tecnifibre 315 LTD came out.
What's a couple extra weeks. Any chance you guys will post the reviews now anyway?

Will you guys be getting in anymore of the Exo3 Tour 16x18's? Or maybe I'll just have to try the new ESP 100 Tour.

    loosegrove,

Unfortunately, that racquet has been discontinued and we are unable to get anymore. However, we do currently have a couple used ones for sale in a couple grip sizes.

Unfortunately, due to the manufacturer's restrictions we are unable to ship Prince racquets outside of the US.

    KoaUka,

Are you talking about the Prince Tour 98 ESP racquet that just launch today? If you are, then no that grommet will not fit due to a different string pattern.

Since there is no review of the ESP Tour 100, can anyone from TW compare it to the ESP Warrior and Tour 98, and maybe the Exo3 Tour 16x18. I wonder if a common complaint of the ESP Tour was also low weight, since it has a relatively low static and swing weight.

Who's the hyper person at TW that typed exclamation points in the specs (100% Graphite!)? There are also three in the new head racquet specs (Leather!!!).

    Sorry for not thinking....
    My question should have been:
Do you know if they will be selling hole grommets to fit the new Tour 98 ESP (Rebel).

    Thank you!

    KoaUka,

I am checking with our hard goods buyer but as of right now we do not have any hole grommets for the new Tour 98 ESP.

Direct Comparison between Rebel 98 and Tour 98 ESP

Is anyone able to provide a direct comparison between the two?
TW gave such a high review of the rebel 98. The tour 98 ESP was close, just a bit lower. My current racquet is the rebel 98 (slightly modified), let's throw out spin since the 98 ESP should win out.

Can anyone provide a comparison with regards to the following?

    Control
    Volleys
    Touch/Feel shots

I guess those are the factors I'm most interested in with the new version. If it stacks up pretty close I might just get one simply for the fact there are 4 less crosses to string.

    Thank you for your time
