Small trophies get put back and forgotten over time. Giftcards can be used as the winner sees fit.

String sets, string jobs, grips, balls, etc. Most anything the average tennis player uses frequently would be good.

It depends on your budget and if you want to make sure everyone gets something.

T-shirts for all participants, small trophy/plaque for winner and runner-up of each bracket. This was pretty much standard operating procedure for every social event at my club. That way everyone gets to take something home with them. For certain smaller events (and in particular the women-only events) we would do goodie bags instead of t-shirts.

If you're going to do a gift card I'd recommend reaching out to a local pro shop and seeing if they'll donate some $25 or $50 gift certificates in exchange for signage/advertisement. The winners will have to go into their store to use it and will end up spending more than the face value anyway on a racket, pair of shoes, or apparel anyway.

I'd skip the trophy/plaque - it's boring as Squidward says. T-shirts for everyone and then something useful as prices. Tennis-related gear is always nice. But other things can work too. Like a glass bowl with an inscription - something that can and get's used.

I'd also hit up TW and see if they'd be willing to send you out some swag. Free advertising, so everyone wins! (Maybe?)

We had a little tennis get together a few years back- the coordinator talked to TW and the sent some hats and T-shirts. We hung a TW banner at the event.

    -----

    As far as Ideas:
-Box of 16 cans of balls ($30 @ costco)
    -Overgrips
    -Vibration Dampners
    -TW gift cards
-Gift cards for dinner or a movie

If you want an easy to make and cheap trophy, you can get a small photo frame and print up certificates to put into the frame.

A box of balls would be nice. The little plastic trophies are really just for kids.

For a tournament we once put together, we had a trophy company make a nice black marble obelisk with the info engraved at the bottom. It was a nice trophy, suitable for an adult.

The tennis backpack is a cool prize that is useful in the house even beyond tennis.

Prince and Volkl make some nice ones.

An entry fee for 'Cash pots' that goes to the eventual winner...Anything invested will certainly raise the stakes... that and raccoons lol. In this case raccoons would be appropiate since they would imply capitalist tendencies..

Gift cards (for a massage, manicure, free lesson etc)
    Bottle of wine
    Grips, shirts, strings, racket bag
Mint coins are nice as well, I received that as a trophy for my first final as a junior and thought it was great, still have it.
