Pro Hurricane Tour?

Hi guys,

My friend bought a new Babolat Aero Pro Drive GT yesterday. When the girl asked which type of strings he wants, he told her, Pro Hurricane Tour, it's the recommended strings for this racquet. The girl said that a racquet should not be strung with this type of strings, that he needs 2 types of strings if he wants to put these. Is it true? Is it the same thing with the new RPM blast strings?

We are used to play with Prince Top Spin strings, are the Babolat strings are better than the top spin?

Thanks!

You can put a full bed of PHT on an AeroGT. o_o if you use 2 strings its called a hybrid and its optional. Honestly i dont think she should've given her own opinion and just strung it like your friend asked :>. When stringing you can ask for a full bed of one string or use 2 different strings.

Agreed, opinion not needed.

But, you can do both a full bed or a hybrid. Pro hurricane can cause tennis elbow should you not be used to it, so she was probably looking in the best interest of your friend, but still, opinion not needed unless asked. Hurricane and Gosen is amazing for me personally.

Ok thanks guys!
Yeah, she told him it's possible, but it wasn't recommanded, a full bed of PHT was too stiff that he had to take hybrid with something else and it was like 70$.
I don't understrand why it costs 35$ for a full bed of PHT and 70$ for half PHT, half something else. Is it normal?

How about the RPM blast, does those strings can be use on a full bed without too much problem? Gonna buy a new racket soon and don't know if I should keep my Prince Top Spin or try something else.

it doesn't cause tennis elbow what causes tennis elbow is weak tendons and incorrect strokes....maybe like yourself?

he probably took it to a large sporting goods store, and they gave him the price for two sets of string (which often includes the stringing charge), so he should at $70 have another set of hybrid strings left over (with the stringing prepaid if he has sense enough to have the manager note it on his reciept). Is there a local tennis store in town? Usually they will only charge for the half sets unless the customer specifies strings they don't usually stock. At any rate, they won't charge stringing on the left over half sets.

I live in Quebec, Canada.
Yeah, you must be right, they must take two sets and charge price of both + installation fees.
70$ Can, it's the only tennis club where I live.

There must be some private stringers somewhere that will do a good job for less... ...in Quebec Canada. $70Can seems way too pricey.

My local shop charges $38 for a hybrid or PHT / syn gut which is insane to me. This is why I purchased a stringing machine and taught myself out to string my own frames.
